DragonBall AF Episode 3: Restless Souls- who killed Vegeta? “ Wow you sure found a lot! You couldn’t find a single picture in my house unless you turned the house upside down!” Asuku laughed looking at the pile on Goku’s floor. “ Guess Marron never showed her the pictures she keeps.” Shino whispered to Goku. He nodded and looked down at Asuku were she had knelt down and was going through old pictures. “ No. No. No.” Asuku tossed hundreds of pictures over her shoulder. “ Here.” She handed Goku five pictures. “ These will do.” She said smiling. The first one had Goku (the original), Chi-Chi and five year old Gohan. The second had Pan, Goku (original), Chi-Chi, Videl and Gohan. The others were assorted of other people she had known. “ What about this one?” Goku asked as he picked up one under the pile Asuku had gone through. She turned it around to look at it and dropped everything she was holding in her hands. “ Grandpa…” She whispered holding back tears. Memories flooded back having to visit her great- grandfather’s grave. He died out of no where. It wasn’t normal. But then again neither was he. “ Asuku?” Shino asked a little worried. Asuku pushed by them and ran outside. As she ran down the long path tears escaped her eyes and her dark blue eyes flooded. But she still ran, but so slow. She ran until she reached an open area where up at the top of a hill, under a large tree that blew freely, sweet smelling flowers filled the sorrow filled area. She ran up to the top of the hill, smiling slightly. She pictured her and her great-grandpa sitting there while he went on saying that if Goku hadn’t gone then he’d be the strongest. “ Asuku!” Goku’s voice was heard from behind her. She didn’t turn though. She tried to stop crying as she looked at the gray tombstone. “ Asuku were sorry.” Shino said. She heard Asuku laugh. “ It’s not your fault.” She tried to smile without crying. She wiped her tears. “ Why should you suffer. I’m sorry I can never deal with seeing grandpa ever.” She let a single tear fall from her check. “ Asuku.” She heard her brother’s voice from behind the tree. “ Vegeta?” Asuku stopped crying immanently. She didn’t want her brother to think that she was weak and had a weakness. “ It is your fault.” Vegeta coldly said to Goku. “ What?” Goku answered surprised. “ You shouldn’t have said anything about him if you didn’t even know who he was.” Vegeta growled. “ Huh?” Asuku stood behind her brother, more surprised then Goku. “ He was important to you too huh?” She whispered quietly to the wind. She saw him nod and she smiled. Their great- grandfather had always been very kind to them, that’s why they loved him so. “ Now come on Asuku, we have to go.” Vegeta angrily snapped. She looked tiredly at her friends and said good-bye. Vegeta picked her up and they flew off. “ Why’d you come get me?” Asuku asked her brother, sweetly. “ There’s a martial arts competition down by Satan City and if you want to enter you have to sign up now and I wanted to ask if you wanted to.” Vegeta answered his sister’s question. He set her down on the grounds of the entry table. “ Sure why not!” Asuku said happily. “ Though fighting is wrong, I want to show grandpa how strong I’ve gotten!” She looked happily into the sky. She jolted down her name and Vegeta followed hers. “ This will be great. I hope we face each other in the end, proving that the Vegeta name is the strongest in the world.” Vegeta signaled to his sister. “ Yeah. But don’t take it personally if I beat you.” Asuku gave him a peace sign and giggled. She ran off and flew off into the sky. “ Maybe I shouldn’t have told her…” Vegeta pondered. He watched as his sister sped off at a tremendous rate. “ Why do I always think of these things too late?” He whined. “ Brat.” He heard a voice mumbled. “ What was that?” Vegeta sneered. “ Huh? What Vegeta how are you still alive? I killed you!” The man sneered. “ You killed my great-grandfather?” Vegeta gasped and scowled. “ Good. But boy we won’t settle this here. At the tournament in one month. Then we’ll see if Vegeta loses twice.” “ Fine.” Vegeta sighed and flew off. “ He’s weak and will be easy to beat I just hope that girl doesn’t come back.” The man whispered remembering the day he killed Vegeta and the small girl that was with him. She was incredibly strong and seemed to be blinded by anger. “ We will have to see.” He scowled and flew off. “ I hate waiting.” “ So we are allowed right?” Asuku carefully asked her grandmother Marron if both she and hr brother could participate in the up coming martial arts competition. “ Well…” Vegeta and Asuku waited desperately for her to answer. “ Sure why not! You guys will win for sure!” She smiled and Asuku laughed happily. “ Now…you’ll see pipsqueak… that Vegeta won’t let you live.” Vegeta mumbled while he smirked. “ I got to get training right now!” Asuku said rushing out of the room. For the next few weeks both she and Vegeta trained themselves to the full potential, neither knowing how strong the other was. ---------------------- “ So Vegeta ready to lose?” Asuku asked as she, Shino, Goku and Vegeta entered the gates of the martial arts tournament. “ Don’t count on it.” He said quickly. She smiled slyly; her blue eyes glowing brightly as she turned her hair lightly tapped his face. “ You don’t know the extent of my power…brother.” She laughed quietly and walked on with Shino and Goku. “ So Asuku…you sure your ready to fight?” Goku asked questionably. She nodded and waved them good-bye. “ Good luck Asuku, we’ll be cheering you on!” Shino winked and gave her a thumb’s up. Asuku ran into the elimination rounds. “ Now how are we going to see this?” Shino thought out loud. “ Huh?” Goku looked surprised at her. “ Come on!” She grabbed his arm and ran towards the window. “ I forgot we can float!” She giggled softly. “ What number did she get?” Goku asked as Asuku pulled out her number. “ 11!” They heard her sweet voice cheer. “ 91.” Vegeta replied to his sister’s glee. “ Make it through!” Asuku laughed as she waited for her turn to enter the ring. “ You too little sister.” He joked and went to the other ring. “ I am not little!” She yelled back angrily. “ Oh hi.” She was surround by male competitors. “ What number are you?” One of them asked, shyly. “ 11!” She happily answered, looking at the fight. The men went into a huddle and Asuku finally turned around to see what was happening, when one of them called out that he was number twelve. “ I get to fight against you!” He blushed and grabbed her hands. “ It has to be fate…” He went on, making Asuku feel very uncomfortable. “ Ah how cute.” Shino giggled as she watched the gaggle of men around Asuku. Goku on the other hand was not as pleased. He was blushed incredibly and his fist kept shaking. “ Son Kun?” Shino looked over at him once he didn’t respond. She smiled once she realized what was going on. “ Kawaii…” She whispered lightly and then yelled. “ Hey Asuku’s up!” They watched as Asuku entered the ring with a long blond hair guy. He was dressed in black and kept on complementing Asuku. Asuku’s long black hair was tied back into two buns with long strains of hair falling out. She had a blue top, baggy blue pants and black boots. “ Ready? The announcer asked and jumped out of the ring. “ Begin!” The guy speed of to Asuku but she just stood there. He threw his best punch but she easily caught it. She then kicked him lightly which resulted in him flying into orbit. “ I won didn’t I?” Asuku questioned the ref. He looked as shocked as everyone else did in the area. “ Yeah…yeah you did!” Everyone was still to shocked to cheer. “ GOMEN!” She yelled at the hole in the ceiling of the area. The guys flooded around her again as she made her way over to see how Vegeta did. “ You got strong.” Vegeta said. “ Same to you.” Vegeta had completely destroyed his opponent. “ Are you her boyfriend?” The guys asked. “ No, he’s my brother.” Asuku sweat dropped. “ Who are they?” Vegeta asked. “ My fan club I guess.” Asuku laughed resting her head on the arena’s floor. And so Vegeta and Asuku made their way up towards the top until only eight of them were left. “ And the remaining contestants are…Asuku!” The announcer called and everyone looked at Asuku, who gave a peace sign. “ We better go get good seats.” Goku said as he and Shino rushed to the outside arena. “ Second we have…Umikto?” He asked to see if he was pronouncing it right. “ Yeah that’s right.” A sweet girl with green hair into a long braid that went over her shoulder called out. She was about Shino’s height. Her eyes were a dark green and matched her hair. “ Third we have Son-Briefs.” He called. “ What?” Vegeta and Asuku said in shock. “ That’s me.” A girl with long long brown hair appeared and smiled. Her brown eyes opening. “ Briefs?” Vegeta mumbled. “ That’s us.” “ And Son…” Asuku bit her lip. “ That’s Gokuu’s last name.” The girl looked slyly over at Asuku. She gulped, quietly sweat dripped from her face. “ Fourth is…Mankato…” A little guy in a hood and coat came from behind Son-Briefs. “ So you came…are you working with her?” Vegeta questioned to himself. “ That could classify you as crazy.” Asuku whispered to him. They stood back to back watching the competitors. “ Fifth is…”He began but was cut off by a happy laughter. “ Asuku!” Misako called. “ Oh you’re fighting too?” Asuku asked her. “ Yep.” She flashed her smile. “Okay… sixth is Wai Toi.” A handsome man tried to make his way towards Asuku. “ Here.” He whispered as he tiptoed past the announcer. “ Seventh is Vegeta Jr.” Vegeta paid no attention to him. “ And last we have?” Asuku wondered. “ Last we have?” The announcer looked at his sheet. “ Gakuha?” The figure tried not to laughed and nodded. “ Well that’s everyone.” Vegeta said, as the box was set up to draw numbers. “ What’s wrong?” “ He smells…like happy and…memories?” She looked at Vegeta and shrugged her shoulders. “ Okay so Son- Briefs is number 1 your opponent will be Umikto.” The brown hair girl sighed and Misako scowled. “ Next?” Asuku asked looking at his sheet. “ Second fight is Wai Toi against Vegeta Jr.” He looked at his sheet again. “ Third fight will be against Misako and Asuku. Fourth will be Gakuha and Mankato. Okay lets begin!”
