Operation A.S.U.K.U
Chapter 3: Darkness before Dawn
	“ It was then that I had no emotions. What little emotions I had before were gone. I was just a 
puppet willingly in Mr. Warui’s hand. My heart had been destroyed and I was alone once again even 
though people surrounded me. I was always cold…so cold. I longed to feel happiness again and to smile 
but I couldn’t…it was the day I die not physically but my heart had died.”
	“ Let operation A.S.U.K.U commence!” Kaji yelled. 
	“ Sir why are we going through with this?” Tori asked angrily. Kaji turned and snarled. 
	“ Never question me.” His hand slapped across his face. He looked back to the screen that was 
being displayed all over the planet. 
	“ Mr. Warui it’s all ready.” 119211121’s emotionless voice cut the cool tension. 
	“ Excellent.” He smirked and sat down. “ People of Akuryou! Hear me out. Operation is about to 
commence and the leader shall be Soldier 119211121.” He pointed at the girl behind him. The camera 
zoomed in one the girl. She seamed neither happy nor upset. 
	“ He chose her?” People began to whisper. Her unexpressive face had long black hair covering the 
sides of it make her face seam quite slender. Her collar stuck up and was trimmed with gold stitching which 
matched the dark blue jacket. She had cold eyes to the people that looked upon her. 
	“ Don’t doubt her.” The camera turned back to Kaji. “ She has proven herself by surviving three 
days and ten hours in the Zero Room.” The crowds around the planet looked in horror as they saw the pain 
in her eyes and the scars on her arms and legs. 
	“ He’s sending a child to do it.” An old man spluttered as a family watched the TV from their 
home. 
	“ How cruel they’re stealing her life for a selfish cause.” This was the talk around most houses. 
They began to doubt Kaji’s leadership skills.  The screen went fuzzy as the broadcast died. 
	“ Come we must get you ready for your trip.” He said to 119211121. 
	“ I understand.” She bitterly replied. 
	“ Now child do you understand what you’re doing?” The old man’s concerned voice asked. She 
nodded happily. A loud explosion was heard and then her laughter.
	“ Oops.” She giggled and he laughed too once he saw her face. It was covered in oil and when 
she tried to take it off she just smeared it. 
	“ Looks like Takai Tenshi won’t be leaving here soon.” The old man chuckled as she laughed. 
	“ Ugh.” She grabbed her forehead and started to breathe heavily. 
	“ Child are you alright?” Master Warui ran up to her but she pushed him back. 
	“ I’m fine.” She said coldly as she stood up straight again. 
	“ Doushite.” The voice cut into her mind quickly and she started to talk.
	“ Can…I…please rest first…sir…please.” She asked as short breaths came out of her mouth. 
	“ I guess but first thing in the morning you have to get ready to go.” He said, she nodded and 
walked slowly out of the room. 
	“ At this rate she’ll die.” Faye whispered to Tori. He nodded in sadness as she wobbled out of the 
room. 
	“ I have…to…complete…this mission…to thank…them for…saving…me.” The girl muttered 
softly as she fell onto her bed. Her eyes shut and like a robot she stopped moving.  The moon outside lit up 
corners of the room. The empty night was the only thing that understood her.
	“ Wake up 119211121!” A loud voice boomed as she slowly opened her eyes. 
	“ Mr. Warui?” She asked. 
	“ Rise and shine you have to get ready to go.” She nodded with no expression and went to get 
changed. Less than an hour later she met him down in Takai Tenshi’s launch pad.  
	“ Okay.” He said once she had gotten into her space outfit and placed the helmet on. 
	“ Ready.” She motioned.
	“ Your mission is to complete A.S.U.K.U. Got that kid?”
	“ I understand I will kill all those who stand in my way.” 
	“ We’ll show them…you’ll make all death wishes a reality.”
	“ Ready.” She said as the door closed. Kaji backed away. 
	“ You need a code name…”
	“ Since this mission is in my hands perhaps I should take its name, Asuku.” 
	“ Good.” He sneered as she flew the suit out of the metal doors. “ It all rests in your hands now 
119…Asuku.” 
	“ I will complete this mission no matter what.” Her empty voice whispered remembering the 
painful defeats in the Zero Room. Every time being destroyed or shot. Her mind remembered the intense 
pains she received after. “ I won’t lose!” She yelled as she descended to earth. “I will rid this world of the 
evil…I will never give up…never.”
