Now this is a relatively easy form of Divination. One can do this any where at any place with no one knowing the difference. Providing you have some form of reading material preferably a book. Sortes is opening a book or some form of text randomly after thinking of a question and putting your finger on the text and reading the answer. In the old days the Bible was used mostly, for those whom felt this was disrespectful they would choose a different book. Something that was philosophical or even more literal can be used. Many from time have used this form of divination to gain their own personal answers. Shakespeare even wrote about his venture, King Charles I of England, Christian Bishop St. Augustine to the present day John McCarthy a journalist and many more. |
Prior to opening up your choosen book.. Focus on your specific question at hand and ask for the guidence from your higher power for you to recieve the clearest message as an answer for your question. Once you have done this place your book so that it can open on it's own. without looking at the page keep your question in mind clearly in focus and then place your finger anywhere upon the page. Then read the message you recieve and from that try your best to place it as and answer to your question, sometimes it is a sort of cryptic message . Some have even said that with our times of technology and electronic devices that we can also recieve these same messages with the radio, television and computers. Using the same concept in a sort of way. When using the electronics we then in term would have to use the first sentence seen or heard on the object of use. That would give the answer to your question at hand. |
Hope you enjoy this form of divination. I first tried this many many years ago when was a child. Found it to be very useful and helpful even to this present day. Just have to try keep a clear open mind to understand the messages. They can tend to be complex and or confusing though so is life at times too. |
