Anime

OtakuWorld - One of the best places to look for info about anime and manga.  They have a lot of other stuff like downloads and such.

Anime Web Turnpike - a large collection of fan-based websites about anime and manga.  The other best place to look for info, in my opinion.

Cookie Jar Video - Has some of the best prices for Anime on the web.

Dragon Half in English - after being down for a long while, it's back!  Dragon Half in English.

Dragon Half Translations - if you have the Japanese manga, use this site to understand it.  It also has ordering info if you want to purchase the manga.

Dragon Half - has a very detailed summary of the anime plus info on the manga and some sounds from the anime.

Darby's Dragon Half page - a very large gallery of images.

Dragon Half lyrics - They have the Japanese lyrics for Taosu zo! Red Dragon and both Japanese and English lyrics for Watashi no Tamagoyaki (My Omelette).

AniMono Dragon Half - What I like most about this site is the character bios.  There are pictures of both normal animation and super deformed plus a couple of quotes.  If you go looking around the site's multimedia section, you can find some clips from Dragon Half.  And then under sound, they have the Watashi no Tamagoyaki in MP3 format to download.

Inu Yasha Kagome Miroku Sesshou-Maru

Inu Yasha Winamp Skins

Sengoku Jidai - Good gallery and info about Inu Yasha.

Anime Cubed - Lots of different anime gallery including Inu Yasha!

Movie

Jason's Movie page - Done by a guy whom I worked with, he goes and sees all of the movies that he can. Check him out for reviews of the movies currently playing.

Into The Woods Unofficial Website - One of my favorite musicals is Into The Woods.  This is a very good site about it.

IMDB - I'm not a huge movie buff, but if I'm ever looking for info, I go here - The Internet Movie Database.

Flight of Fantasy

Black Gate - Black Gate is a quarterly magazine of epic fantasy fiction.  It publishes news, reviews, interviews, and original short stories.  It covers virtually everything in modern fantasy - books, movies, comics, adventure gaming, role playing games, etc.  I love it!  You can check out their website and reads some of the stuff that is printed in the magazine.  I think it's a really great price.  Each magazine so far has been over 200 pages and the subscription price is only $29.95 for 4 issues.

Realms of Fantasy - The other magazine that I subscribe to.  It is not as big as Black Gate, but it comes out more often, 6 issues a year for $16.95.  It has a lot of short stories and reviews like Black Gate.  It also features art which Black Gate doesn't.  Realms of Fantasy doesn't have it's own website, but here's a link to subscribe.

Amy Brown Fantasy Art - I really like her style of art.  I haven't bought any of it yet, but one of these days...  Anyway, she has a lot of her work on the website.  I would have to say that her focus is Faeries, but she does other fantastical creatures too.  I found her work through the Fairy Pictures website which features other artists who focus on Faeries.

Dragonhenge - This is a book done by Bob Eggleton and John Grant.  It contains illustrations and stories of dragons.  "The dragons were profound storytellers, and collected here are tales from their oral mythology."  I haven't read it all, but so far it's really good.  You can go to Paper Tiger to find out more.  They also have a gallery of many different artists' works including Eggleton.

Elfwood - The world's biggest site for fantasy/scifi art and fiction.  I love this site.  All the artwork and stories.  Check it out!  I love to click on the random button and see where it takes me.

The Fantasy Galleries from Pegasus2u - This website has large galleries of gifs that cover Pegasus, Dragons, Fairies, Mythical Creatures, and links to Fantasy Artists.

Josephine Wall - Josephine's art is so detailed and beautiful, it's almost beyond words.  I have her 2002 calendar and every time I look at a picture, I see something new and exciting.  It takes my imagination on a flight of fantasy.

Dragons by Rob Brown - I have been getting his calendars for the last couple of years and I completely love his style in portraying dragons.  Each picture has a story and, in his art, the dragons aren't evil fire-breathing monsters.  I wish I could find a website for him, but I haven't yet.  Here's the link to where you can buy his calendar.

ShadowScapes - This is the official gallery of Stephanie Pui-Mun Law.  I really like her style.  She covers a lot of different fantasy creatures.  She's even done art for several different collectible card games including Magic the Gathering.  I haven't bought any of art yet, but... you know, one of these days.

Jackie Chan

Official Jackie Chan Website - Have to start off with the best site there is - the official one!

Jackie Chan Adventures - Very cute cartoon that I wish I had time to watch.  Maybe they'll come out with it all on DVD someday...

Drunken Master's Home Page - a really good fan site.  It has some info that I haven't seen on other sites, like Jackie's "Real" fights.

Jackie Chan Now - A yahoo group about Jackie Chan.

Roleplaying Resources

Official D&D website - the best place to start for more resources is Wizard's official page.  They have a lot of interesting information and free downloads.  Some of the free downloads include random encounters, magic items, maps, PC portraits, and adventures.

Dewayne Agin's HeroQuest web page - Now don't laugh.  You may not think much of this board game but this website has a lot of resources that can be used in other roleplaying systems.  It has dungeon tiles, quests, paper minis, etc.  Heck, this website makes me wish I owned HeroQuest so I could use all these resources for it!

Hero Machine - If you want to create a picture of your roleplaying character, try the Hero Machine.  It's a little tricky and sometimes doesn't work right, but sometimes it's just fun to create a new Hero.  It also has links to other roleplaying resources like dungeon generators.

iG RPG Tools - This place is amazing.  It has instant map makers for villages, taverns, cities, caverns, dungeons, mazes, worlds, isles, terrains, clearings, even star maps!  Plus there's a whole lot of other webtools.

NPC Generator - I know how tedious it is to create names and jobs for all those NPCs that the players might run into.  This website helps out with that.

The Creature Catalog - This place is great.  It takes all the old creatures from previous D&D editions and converts them into 3e.  I was looking for a Faerie Dragon for one of players as an advanced familiar and I found it here!  It gives you all the info you need about the creature including CR.

d20 Scriptorium - So your players enter a bookstore or a library and they immediately ask what books do they see.  If you're like most DMs, you don't have the time to create titles for all the books.  This websites has generators that create all the info you need about books!

Roleplaying Products

Kenzer & Company - These are the people that created The Knights of the Dinner Table comic.  It's hilarious!  They also make fun games like Faerie Meat!  hehe...  Lately, they've picked up business by producing some products for the new official D&D system and by creating a new D&D comic.

Palladium Books - The first system I role-played was Palladium Fantasy.  I don't play it anymore, but I get nostalgic often...I have many many memories...good and bad...

Odds 'N Ends

Homestar Runner - A zany world of unforgettable characters where the bottom line is comedy.  Flash animations and fun entertainment.  This guy is amazing with the amount of work (and humor) he's put into his site.  Normally, a website would only have on main page, but he's created 21 different pages, all with different themes.  Here's a few of my favorites: Heavenly, News at 11, 8 Bit Game, Anime Parody, Game Show, and "Many Green Lines."  It's pretty easy to check out all the others.  Just go to one of the main pages, look at the web address and change the number after the word "main" to any number 1 through 21.

Morty's Video Game Movies - Flash animations about video game sprites, specifically Final Fantasy sprites.

The Lenaea Fastival - This is a 3 day festival that always happens at CSUS at the end of Jan/beginning Feb.  It is for high school students to come and perform monologues, duets and one act plays.  They get responses and helpful (usually) criticism.  There have been an increasing number of student written and/or student directed plays.  This festival is a good experience for these kids.  At the end of the festival there is a Recognition Ceremony where outstanding performances and presentations are honored.  For 5 years of my life at CSUS, I've been the Tech Team Leader for the Studio Theatre, the smallest theatre on campus with a 50 seat house.

The Spark - This website has a lot of fun, and mischievous, things to do.  My favorite part is the Test and Answer series with exams like the Personality test, the Gender test, the IQ test, the Slut test...etc.  My friends used to use the Burn Maker and to turn nice innocent e-mails into fiery balls of hate and anger.  ^_^  Isn't that nice.
