| My mother has a thing with Native American folk lore and that sort of thing. She has books up the ying yang with just about anything you want to know about Native Americans. Anywho, I got into a hitch one time she told me a story about the spirit animals. So I got it in my head that I have two spirit animals. Not just one, but two. The wolf and the eagle. So I wrote a little poem about them. |
| Have you ever had that feeling Feeling like running free Feel my senses reeling And the animal is all I see The inner demon pulling at my soul The wolf within my eyes Striving and fighting for one goal Controlling my mind, spilling out lies The inner spirit guiding my heart The eagle spreading it's wings Knowing I cannot fly is tearing me apart Don't let it hold me back, open up and let it sing The animal within me is my freedom The wolf that comes with hate and starvation The eagle that keeps on dreaming They are my only salvation |
