okay....so all of the gates between dimensions open up once dawn's blood starts flowing, and will close again only when it stops, right?
A) this is kinda gross....but would it have counted if Dawn had gotten her period right at ritual time? lol...and then, it woulda stopped days later? I mean wow...yeah, 4 or 5 days of earth's torment...but nobody woulda had to die that way ;)
B) I'm still not getting how the solution THEY came up with was classified as "stopping the flow of blood". I mean...Dawn was still bleeding at the end of it, y'all.
C) Why the fuck didn't the monks just make Dawn into an object that didn't bleed? I mean, all season Glory's been going on and on about how the monks could have turned her into anything....why the hell didn't they turn her into Mr. Gordo, or something? I'm pretty sure Glory and her minions would never have found it that way. *snort*
And yeah...on Angel. What was I going to bring up on there that didn't make sense? Hm....Let me think. Oh yeah. In whatever ep it was that the Groosalug (or however you spell it) showed up, he told Cordelia that he was "even incapable of mating with the females of his clan" because he was physically different from them. i.e., he was cow-like, and they were not, I guess. Okay, gotcha. But for the whole little ending series in Pylia, the monk-y people in red kept talking about how the prophecy wasn't supposed to extend to "cows". Cordelia even said that she wasn't really the one all the prophecies were talking about. But...but...the whole point of the "cursed one" becoming princess was so that she could mate with the Groosalug, and have him take her visions on himself. So...if all along the princess was supposed to be a Pylean...how the fuck was the Groosalug supposed to mate with her? Hmmm? Hmmm?

About the whole matey gig with Gru... I also recall the RedMonk JerkyBoy saying that she would probably not survive the mating with the Grusalaag (just offering an alternate spelling for the madcap fun of it). I mean, what's up with that?! When he said he was incapable of mating with the others, I got the impression that it was because he was just too manly and huge for them to handle. Not sure why, just the wackyness that occurs to me. So okay, lethal? Probably not. But ooh! Ooh! Wait! I think I just figured something out just this very second... Gru said that after the mating, he would "absorb" her visions - maybe it was that process that would kill her. Eh, they didn't really make that very clear.
Actually, I thought the majority of Angel was much better than Buffy this season (Buffy still rocked - I just thought Angel was better), but after the finale, I just felt like the season was lacking in some completeness. I mean, the trip to Pylea was really helpful in capping off some of the character development arcs for the season, but I just still felt like it was lacking something. Namely, some sort of indication about, oh, DARLA?! Yeah, I get that she bailed, but what - after the *Amazing* stuff they built up there, ultimately, Dru and Darla just up & skipped town? I know there's still tons of fun to be had with both characters, thus the not wanting to kill them, but still - all that fantastic teasing and foreplay, whipping up the tension and excitement, and just when it's all about to come to a rich, frothy head... the girls wander off. AAUGH!!! Don't you just hate that?

they whip up this whole thing with Darla, and then it just totally fades away. Angel goes on his little spree of "ooh, I'm dark again", and then gets over it...and that's the end of it. Where the hell did Drusilla go? Where did Darla go? Why didn't they finish that arc this season, so we don't have to deal with it again next season? I mean...where the hell did this Pylea thing even come from? lol.

Umm... Well.. Uhh...
The period no. Cos there's not a lot of blood in that and it's mixed with a bunch of... stuff.
The stopping of the blood. I think, how it might work is that Buffy is dead. Her blood flows no more. NO MORE!! Since her and Dawn are 'the same' it counts.
As for the monks making her into something that didn't bleed. I believe it was the General who said that they were stupid. I think that there answers that question. Oh yes I do.
The mating. The "curse" I don't know. I think they the ones one made Cordelia 'princess' didn't really know what they were doing, cos the other monks didn't think Cordelia was really the one. And what if Doyle hadn't died. He would've been with them in Pylea, most likely. Would there have been some buggery on the show?
