Rules of Submission

Please read these rules before submitting a story.

1. Before sending in your fan story, please proofread for spelling, grammer, and punctuation. I will read all submissions before posting them, but I cannot promise to catch all these errors, and besides, it's just a courteous thing to do, since I do not have all the time in the world.

2. Remember that this is a site visited by people of all ages, including young children. Since the books are appropriate for the very young, your story should be too. This means nothing of an explicit nature. If I find anything lewd or objectionable, I will not post your story. I will, however, email you to tell you what the offending passage is, so that you may change it, if you wish to re-submit it.

3. Please send your submission under the name that you would like to have appear on my page. I would like this to be a Narnian name, so you can go and register your name now if you want. If you have a well-known screenname under which your already post, you may use that. For your own privacy, I ask that you not use your real name.

4. Have fun with this! Be creative! No plagiarizing! (Also, if you catch someone else plagiarizing, TELL ME!)

5. Seriously though, feel free to make up stories about Narnians who have never been heard of, but have their own stories, or if you don't want to do that, write about the 'lost years' of a previously known character. (Like, what happened to Rillian after Jill and Eustace left.)

6. If you are writing about an original character, please indicate the time frame in which he appears. The eras of Narnia are: Before the White Witch, during the WW, during the reign of the Pevinses, After the Pevinses but before Caspian, During Caspian or Rillian, After Rillian but before Tirian, and during Tirian. (Please tell me if I left something out.)

7. Do you want feedback on your stories? Reader responses sent to your email? If you do, then you need to give me permission to link your author's name to your email. I will not provide your readers with this link to you unless I am given express permission. (Bear in mind, there are a number of odious people out there. I cannot be held responsible for the content of emails sent to you after you have given me permission to link your name and email.)

Great! Now you know the rules, and although I was long-winded, I don't think those are difficult to follow. So send me your story!

One final note: These rules may change over time. If so, I will put a note on the main page saying so. The latest changes on this page will be in bold to make them easy to spot.
