Ashok Manchanda inherited this attitude and went through the process of living for the children as a purpose of life.
He has also seen the transition of the society into complete individualistic and materialistic society and the break up of joint families and the moving away of the children in pursuit of their own life in totality. This brought in the trauma of separation both for parents and the children.
The plight of the parents who invested money, time, emotions and everything else in the future of the children and then becoming alone in their old age without any protection both Physical and Fiscal and the Depression and sense of loss that followed is too visible.
Also visible is the trauma of children suffering from the anxieties for the parents they have left behind and their helplessness in looking after the parents.
The gap is glaring. The children abroad love the parents, are worried sick for them and are willing to spend money but their future is abroad while the parents can’t live with them (Because of their roots being in India) but need protection, care and decent and purposeful life which the children are willing to give.
Vatsalya is a concept to bridge the gap and lookafter the parents in India on behalf of the children abroad by providing them decent, fulfilling and happy secured retirement.
Mr. Ashok Manchanda is a Civil Engineer. And owns a construction Company in New Delhi called CAPITAL BUILDERS for the past 32 years and has successfully constructed 16 Nos. Residential Complexes comprising of 4000 Residential Apartments, besides many other Projects.
He has his both the children (One Son & a Daughter) married and living in United States and the children of many of his friends are also in the USA.
This has resulted in the understanding of the need of this Project.
