| I found out this morning that some Christians are deeming Spongebob Squarepants to be teaching our children homosexuality. Why exactly? I would really like to know why homosexuality is somehow synonymous with flamboyancy. If Spongebob Squarepants is teaching kids anything, he's teaching them to be more contientious, caring, and a little bit silly. Spongebob isn't a gay rights' activist, he's allowing children to realize that growing up isn't all it's cracked up to be and being a kid is the greatest thing. He's teaching us grown-ups that we can act like children every once and a while, and feel a little better. Now, I ask these people who are accusing Spongebob Squarepants of being an advocate for homosexuality, why is a happy-go-lucky cartoon character being attacked? Would you rather our children be taught that strict, firm rules are the only way to live? I'm sorry but if I had a child, I would love for them to know what fun is, and what smiling can do, and the simplistic joy of blowing a bubble. That is what Spongebob represents: pure, innocent happiness. For people to tarnish that is pathetic and quite frightening to me. |

| Ashlee Simpson was found lipsinking on SNL, and then boo'd at the Orange Bowl. Isn't that some indication that she should stop? Oh, no. She continues to wow us with idiotic lyrics, a voice that is so tweaked that it isn't even her own, and just more pop culture crap for the 21st century. She's blonde, She's brunette! No one cares. It's not about her haircolor ladies and gents, or whether her sister actually has some talent. All that should matter here is the fact that she is a horrible entertainer who is riding on the coattails of her famous sister and brother-in-law. She needs to reevaluate her life and hopefully realize that popstardom is only for those who can sing. Actually on second thought thats all popstardom seems to be lately. Girls who are either beautiful or have connections who can't sing at all. So I guess I'm wrong. Go ahead Ashley, use your last name and reap the benefits whether you're a talentless fraud or not. |
