"April Fool's!"
>It’s a nice quiet morning, and our heroes are just waking up from a good night’s sleep. Misty is the last one to wake.Misty: Yawn! What a good sle- Huh?
>Misty opened her eyes, but couldn’t see anything. Just black.
Misty: What th- oh my god! I’m blind I’m blind!
>Ash peels off the black mask he had put on Misty’s face last night.
Ash: Ha ha! April fool’s!
Misty: WHAT?
Ash: Oh come on Misty. Don’t you know what April Fool’s day is?
Misty: I do… but I thought it was tomorrow. Wasn’t March supposed to have 31 days?
Ash: No it was 30 days long. Today’s April 1st.
>Misty looked over to her backpack and thought about the trick she was going to pull on Ash that morning involving a beaver, a muffin and 2 Digimon cards.
Misty: Shoot!
Tracey: Do they go at each other like this every year?
Pikachu: (nodding) Pika.
Tia: (dreamily) Oh my love is so clever…
>Tracey and Pikachu sweatdrop. Later, Misty was busy putting a fake Shellder head made from cardboard onto a spring. She then stuffed it into a soda cooler.
Misty: When I ask Ash for a soda, he’ll open the cooler and hehehe…
>Later…
Misty: Hey Ash, could you get me a soda? I’m thirsty.
Ash: Sure.
>Ash walked over to the cooler, opened it, and took out a soda without the Shellder popping out. He walked over to Misty and gave her the soda.
Ash: Here ya go.
Misty: Huh???
>Misty walked over to the cooler and opened it. Suddenly, the Shellder head popped out and beaned Misty in the face.
Misty: DARN IT!
>Misty fumed as she opened her soda. It sprayed all over her face.
Misty: Aak!
Ash: Ha ha! April fool’s! I shook that can up before I gave it to you!
>Ash patted Misty on the back and walked off laughing. Misty was totally ticked off. Tracey walked up to her.
Tracey: Uh Misty?
Misty: Shut up.
>Misty walked away from Tracey. He looked at her for a few seconds and laughed.
Misty: What’s so funny???
>Tia looked at Misty’s back and also cracked up.
Misty: WHAT?
>Pikachu and Togepi looked up at Misty’s back and also cracked up. Misty wacked everyone with her trademark mallet.
Misty: WHAT’S SO FUNNY???
Tracey: (rubbing his bump) Look at your back. Ha ha ha ha!
>Misty reached behind her back and pulled off a sign. It had a picture of herself and a baboon. Under the pictures it read, “Find a difference and win a prize!”
Misty: Grr…ASH!
>Misty’s voice was so loud a large flock of Spearow flew out from the trees. Later she was pacing back and forth, trying to think of a way to trick Ash.
Misty: Hmm… It shouldn’t be too hard to trick that twerp…
>Togepi kept its eye on Misty as she paced. It got dizzy and fell down.
Togepi: Toge…
>Suddenly, Psyduck popped out of his pokéball.
Psyduck: Psyduck Psy?
>Misty bops Psyduck with her mallet.
Misty: PSYDUCK! Stay in your stupid poke- Hey! I got an idea!
>While Ash was taking a nap, Misty pulled out a pokéball from his belt, and put in another. She walked away chuckling. Later, Ash was in a pokémon battle with a trainer.
Trainer: Go Cubone!
Cubone: Cu bone. Bone.
Ash: All right, go Bulbasaur!
>Psyduck popped from Ash’s belt instead.
Psyduck: Psy Psy Duck!
All but Misty: PSYDUCK?
Ash: What’s Psyduck doing here?
>Misty couldn’t hold it in. She started cracking up.
Ash looked at Misty and saw her laughing.
Ash: (thinking) This is an April fool’s joke. She’s trying to ruin me as a trainer. Well I’ll show her.
>Tracey was sketching a picture of Cubone.
Tracey: They must have mixed up their pokéballs.
Tia: Or maybe Misty found a way to trick my dear Ash…
Tracey: Huh?
Ash: Psyduck, scratch attack!
>Psyduck ran at Cubone and wacked him with his hand.
Cubone: CU!
Trainer: Cubone use your bonemerang!
Cubone: Cubone… CuBONE!
Ash: Psyduck skull bash!
>Psyduck lowered his head to charge up for a skull bash attack. Cubone chucked his bone, bonking Psyduck in the head. Psyduck was completely confused about what was going on as Cubone continued to throw its bone at his head.
Psyduck: Psy?
Ash: (thinking) Psyduck’s headache is getting worse. All right!
>Psyduck’s eyes stared to glow.
Ash: Psyduck disable!
>Psyduck glared at Cubone and he froze solid.
Cubone: Cu…bone…
Trainer: No! Cubone!
Ash: Psyduck, use your confusion attack!
>Psyduck levitated Cubone into the air and threw it into a tree.
Ash: All right! I did it!
Pikachu: Pi Pikachu!
Misty: WHAT???
Trainer: Well I must say your Psyduck is great!
Ash: Thanks! Your Cubone is good too!
Tracey: Way to go Ash!
>Tia gave Ash a peck on the cheek.
Tia: You did it honey!
Ash: Don’t call me that.
>Ash ran over to Psyduck and gave him a big hug.
Ash: You did great Psyduck!
Psyduck: (doing a victory pose) Psy-Duck!
>Ash gave Psyduck back to Misty.
Ash: Thanks Misty! Your Psyduck really came through!
Misty: Grr…
>Misty dropped Psyduck and stormed off.
Misty: I don’t believe it. My plan backfired… Wait… I wonder what pokémon I swapped for Psyduck?
>Misty opened the pokéball and Charizard popped out.
Misty: Uh oh.
Charizard: CHAR!
>Charizard blasted Misty with a Flamethrower and walked back to the group.
Misty: (burned) Talk about backfired…
>Misty tried her hardest, but didn’t April fool Ash. Will she ever get her revenge? Hmm… Probably not.
Jessie: Hey you!
>Huh?
James: You’re the narrator aren’t you?
>Yes.
Meowth: We’re gonna make you pay fo not puttin’ us in your fan fic!
>Actually, I’ve been looking for you guys! Here.
Jessie: Huh? A present?
James: Open it Open it!
>It’s a bomb just for you guys!
Team Rocket: Uh oh…
**BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!**
Team Rocket: Looks like Team Rocket’s blasting off againnnnnnnn!
