Watercolors
I recover, somewhat startled -
Then, again, my heart takes a small leap.
The raspberry glow of the skyline
...a backdrop for the naked, feathery branches...
tugs at my soul, releasing a sweet melody.
And I realize that
           at some point in time
I must have glimpsed a raspberry twilight
            with you.
