Liquid Fire

Your passion is like liquid fire
Burning me till I am nothing
For once I am in total fear
Death, walls, demons are nothing before you
Control is in tightest rein
Without it I shall be no longer human
I tremble, quaking before you
A long slim hand raises towards me
Heat rushes through my veins
To explode in my fevered brain
But it is cold compared to your touch
A brand upon my cheek
Long shuddering breath from my lips
I lean into that hand and burn
Eyes meet and I am eternally lost
My soul adrift in their depths
Lips yearning for my own come towards me
The blood drains from my head and I pale
Can I live? Can I survive?
Control my passions, that is the key
Soft like the petals of new flowers
Yet hard with urgency, lips pressed against mine
I am dying and all reins are released
As control is lost in passion's flame
A moan erupts from deep within me
My lifeline pulls away from my seared lips
I have survived and lived through the kiss
But shall die without another to burn me
