This poem was actually written two years before X:WP aired. I changed it 11/5/97 because
I thought it looked better this way. For your curiosity, I've enclosed the original at the end.

Last Poem for a Warrior

Lay the warrior beneath bows of laurel
and steadfast amazons upon her brow lay floral
within her grip pass her faithful steel
and in her memory the gods shall reel

apon holy woods shall she be laid
and a chorus shall sing her deeds till the sun doth fade
then with purpose shall her bard light aflame the brand
and the warrior's biar shall take her to a fairer land

This is the original-written somtime in '92 I think

lay the knight beneath bows of laurel
and virtous maidens on his brow lay floral
within his grasp pass his faithful steel
and in his memory the Highlanders shall reel

apon holy woods shall he be laid
and a chorus shall sing his deeds till the sun doth fade
then with purpose shall his squire light aflame the brand
and the knight's biar shall take him to his God's hand
