Cocoon.



  • Distribution. North-east India
  • Ovum. Medium size, yellow-brown in colour.
  • Foodplants. Larva eat Vitis (grape)  and Parthenocissus sp.
  • Larva. The fifth instar larva average 8 cm. They are easy to rear and grow very fast but require warm and umid conditions Baxter (1992). Two brood.
  • Cocoon. Slender, dark brown and attached to twigs. Very similar to cecropia cocoon but smaller.
  • Adults. Male and female 8-10 cm.
