Rainy Night
As the rain is softly falling,
We are cozy and warm,
Lying in each other's arms,
After a summer storm.
The after glow of love,
Still warm upon our skin,
The fire within our bodies calmed,
Our hearts fulfilled within.
As we lie so close together,
I am reminded of moments gone by,
The love just made,
the soft caress and the urgent sigh.
I smile and whisper I love you,
and thank the Lord above,
as I snuggle closer, enveloped in,
your cocoon of love.
