bringing so many
thoughts and feelings
to light....
words can caress, sooth,
show friendship,
passion, desire, love...
They can bring a warmth
to the spirit,
like a touch upon skin,
as a warm hug to the soul.
injure and invalidate.
Empty words,
hurt most of all,
for they offer hope,
or feelings eluded to,
but are just empty,
placating or used to gain,
the means to a selfish end.
I hope you choose wisely,
your words....
especially here,
for with your words
you have the power,
to love,
offer hope,
show true friendship
but also to
cut to the quick..
leaving a spirit bruised,
and in pain..
empty and broken....
Choose wisely,
for such power,
is to be treasured,
not abused.....
