Little Red Riding Hood Meets Goldilocks
or
Little Red Riding Hood and the Three Bears
by Shlomo Jack Jaron Enkin Lewis

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Little Red Riding Hood who lived in a cabin by the woods and once upon a time there was a little girl named Goldilocks who lived in a cabin on the other side of the woods.  One day Little Red Riding Hood had to deliver a basket of cookies to her grandmother who lived next door to Goldilocks and Goldilocks went to visit her grandmother who lived next door to Little Red Riding Hood.  So they each walked in opposite directions through the woods.

Soon they had walked right into each other in the centre of the woods.  They were each so startled that they forgot which direction they were walking and just started walking who-knows-where in the forest together.  Soon they came to a house and decided to stop to ask for directions, but when they knocked on the door no one answered.  They decided to go inside.  Inside they saw three bowls of porridge.  They couldn’t help tasting some.  They each tried the first bowl but it was too hot.  They each tried the second bowl but it was too cold.  They each tried the third bowl and it was just right so they ate it all up.  Then they went to find a place to sit.  They found three chairs.  They each tried the large chair but --   CRACK     -- it broke.  They each tried the medium chair but --   CRACK    -- it broke.  They each tried the small chair but --  CRACK    -- it broke.  After this they were very tired.  They found three beds upstairs.  They each tried the big bed but it was too hard.  They each tried the medium bed but it was too soft.  They each tried the little bed and it was just right.  They were just about to curl up and go to sleep when in came the three bears!   (It was their house.)  Goldilocks and Little Red Riding Hood were so frightened that they started to run.  The three bears ran after them.  Goldilocks and Little Red Riding Hood came to a pile of straw.  They built a house out of it but the three bears blew it down.  They kept on running until they came to a pile of sticks.  They built a house out of them but the three bears blew it down too.  They kept on running until they came to a pile of bricks.  They built a house out of them and went inside.  The three bears could not blow it down and went away.   Suddenly Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks looked out the window and saw the tree with two trunks which was a landmark they knew.  They now knew where they were so they each went to their grandmothers and lived happily ever after.
