A POEM
FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE SCARED OF CATS
If the cat
is up,
You should be down.
But if the cat
is down
You should be out of town.
Author's Note:
The poem says, "If the cat
is up, you should be down", because if a
cat
climbs up a tree, then it can't get down. The poem says, "If the
cat
is down, you should be out of town", because if a
cat
is on the ground, then it can either climb up a tree or stay on the ground.
