| Rain streamed down my face Blue in the midnight still Silent breaths steamed the darkness And then I felt him steal my will Moving smoothly, sleekly like the Wicked incarnation of fantasies buried deep His eyes intent, never leaving my own As he neared me, my heart began to leap A maelstrom of emotion swirled Within me like a whirlpool As he leaned toward me, his lips The merest inch from mine, beckoning like a siren's call He smiles then, he knows, he understands Indeed; he feels the magnetism, the force That pulls between us in this moment in time But could we, would we choose this course? Would I step to the left and let The fabric of reality fade into the background Or should I steer straight ahead And live by the honour to which I am bound Chains of fate holdin me fast and true As the heavens open wide in a blinding cacophony And in silence he waits. He waits. Offering my heart the sweetest symphony Temptation incarnate pure, untainted His hand lifts and brushes my cheek My eyes drift shut, and my lips turn up In the softest of smiles I feel my heart speak Honour that which I hold dear to my heart And stay on the course tried and true Walk away from all that tempts the desires In the storm laden night, I will find you. |
