PARY NIGHT FOR DECEPTION

I looked at the mirror. My dress was absolutly perfect. I had been working three jobs and had been making enough money in the last month and a half to buy a gorgeous dress. I turned to look at the back of it. I let out a sigh. THis was suppose to be a perfect night. Lucky was gonna be picking me up in ten minutes and here i was looking at the mirror thinking about how I wanted to go with Nikolas. How right now if I was at the Cottage i would be just walking down the stairs and watchign his reaction to my outfit. Instead I in my 'new' room looking at the mirror thinking of him.

There was nothing I could do. He had made it clear it was over. And then the other night when he called me his women. I am not some toy that can be bounced around from one to another I did have feelings.

I moved to put some lipstick on. Lucky and I had that long talk. it was a great talk. I told him how I felt about the Nikolas situation and we both agreed that it would be a bad idea for us to get involved. No matter what hte other wanted. We knew that if we did get involved we may just be hurting the other. I was glad we talked. I needed him to understand that I couldn't just jump into another relationship. We did however agree to go to the party. Considering we had no on to go with. I said it was only as friends and he agreed.

He stood outside her door. Knowing that it would be hard from not wanting to kiss her again or tell her how he really felt. They had that talk and everything was working better. But he wanted her...he deserved her. And tonight...maybe...he would tell her. Yeah they agreed not to...but it was unfair for him not tell let her know. Fully of how he felt. He didn't care hwat his borther wanted. he had dropped her like a bad hat and now it was his turn to have his try at Gia.

He tapped on the door. "GIa you ready?"

I took another quick glance at my reflextion. "Yah. Hold on I locked the door." I walked over to hte door. I didn't wanna open the door to Lucky I wanted to open and see Nikolas standing there smiling. I turned the nob slowly "Hey Lucky..."

He stood frozen in his spot. THis was gonna be a long nite. "Gia...you look like a star...nope wait maybe the Face Of Deception."

I looked at him and laughed. "I haven't gotten the job yet." I didn't think I would. I actually knew I wasn't gonna get it. not after what I had I pulled. But I wanted to go. To show that i wasn't gonna do nothing. It felt good knowing that I could do this. "Well, I don't wanna be too late, so shall we go?"

"Umm...go where?" He looked at her face as she began to laugh.

"I didn't mean to cause such a brain dead man by wearing this...should I go change?" I obviously wasn't going to change but I liked knowing that i could do this to a guy. instantly make his brain stop.

He could feel himself start to blush."Ah...sorry..no...i mean yes ..no... ahh... come on lets before I forget where i parked."

LUKE'S

"Now Luke you can leave if you don't wanna stay here. I would understand completely. But my guest are coming so I really must go mingle." She headed to a clump of people

"Laura!"

"Yes Luke?"

"You look beautiful."

She could feel herself starting to blush. "THanks Luke." She walked over to some photographers. She had made her decision. And she was hoping that everyone would show up.

Nikolas walked in through the doors of Luke's. He quickly survayed the area. He didn't see her through out the crowd. He let out a sigh. What if she decided she didn't want to come. He decided to phone her place. He quickly dialed the number. He got the answering machine "Hey Gia, it's Nikolas. Listen if you are there please pick up. I wanna know if you are....wow...your here..." He pushed the end button. He watched as Gia enter through the doors with Lucky hot on her heels. He put this phone in his jacket. He slowly made his way over.

I smiled as everyone greeted me. The camera's were clicking. Everyone in the room knew that it was either me or Liz that was the new face. I knew it was Liz but I played along. I mean this could be great publicity. I saw Laura and started to walk over towards her. I turned to tell Lucky when I turned to continue walking Nikolas was in front of me. I could feel my stomach get into knots. "Excuse me." I tried to walk the other way but he blocked me. "What do you want Nikolas?"

He looked at her. He wanted to kiss her right now. But he knew that wouldn't bea good idea. "I just...wanted to say hi."

"Well you did now. Excuse me this..."

"Gia I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said everything that I did."

I looked at his eyes. They still had that same effect on me. I tried to be strong. Not to let him see the pain that I was feeling. But I knew he looked tright through all my bariars. he had always been able to do that.

Lucky watched from the side. He knew that if Gia nd Nikolas were to get back together then they would and there was nothing he could truly do except fight for her too.

I turned from his gaze. "Listen Nikolas now isn't the time to be discussing what happened alright. I'm glad your here though. It seems right..."I realized what i had just said. "I...I need to go. Excuse me." I walked away. I told myself not to look back. But something inside of me took over and turned my head over my shoulder. I saw him again. Starring at me. Holding me with his gaze. I could feel my knees get weak.

"Gia! I am so glad that you came. Who did you come with?"

Now this wasn't a stickly situation. "I came with Lucky. We didn't have any dates...so...Listen Laura if you want me to leave...then..."

"Gia, I want you to stay here. I forgive you. And I think Nikolas does to. Do you forgive him?"

I wasn't ready to have this discussion with her "Laura...maybe we should have this talk another time. I am not sure if I am ready..."

"Gia. I was a lot like you were when I was young...well...with the lies. And the only advice i can give you is...follow your heart. Don't do something you dokn't wanna do. Listen I gotta go find Elton. I wil ltalk to you later."

"Alright. THanks." I smiled. I needed a drink. No I needed...this night to be over with. I spotted Lucky talking with Emily. I wanted to go over to him and let loose or do something but stand here.

"Hey Gia!"

I spun around and saw Zander in front of me. "Hey Zander! How are you?"

"I could be doing a lot better. Party's aren't my thing. Especially high profiles like this one."

"Hmmm...like raves better." OH...why did I say that. "Listen sorry." I clinched my teeth together. "i am so stupid. Sorry...I don't know what is wrong with me today."

"It's alright. I probably deserve that one. I wanted to say sorry about how...I threatened you that one night on the docks. I was being totally...a jerk."

I was shocked. Zander just apologized to me. "No problem. In the past. So how are things with you and Emily?"

"She is an amazing girl. So great. Sorell is in jail for the murder one and we are free to live out life!"

"ZAnder that is really great!"

HOUR LATER

Laura took the stage. "Alright. I would like to thank everyone for coming. I know we already had one of these. But I have the news of the New Face of Deception. Our new face is an amazing girl. We have had so many compliments and everyone loves her. I would like to congradulate..."

I stood there looking at Nikolas. Glancing at him and then back to Laura he was a couple of feet from me. I wanted to go stand by him...but something held me back.

"Ms. GIA CAMPBELL!"

I looked at her. My smile grew. Did she just say my name. I turned to look at Nikolas who was starring at me smiling. I walked over to him and threw my arms around him. "Nikolas..I..."

He put his arms around her waist. Having her in his arms felt like pure bliss. It was heaven all over again.

I could hear everyone clapping and the camera's clicking. I moved away from him. I looked into his eyes. "I can't believe it! did you know?"

"I knew that they could not have a success with out you. Now go get up there."

I smiled at him. I headed over to Laura. When I got up there she hugged me. "Thank you Laura"

She smiled at her new face.

"I would first of all like to thank Laura and Carly for giving me this wonderful opportunity. So thank you." Follow your heart, don't follow your heart,Follow your heart, don't follow your heart,Follow your heart, don't follow your heart. "Secondly, I truly don't deserve this. I can't promise the moon and stars to Deception but I can promise sales. Which I will help you get. THank you so much for everyone." I turned and looked at Nikolas and then back at Lucky. THen to nikolas I starred into his eyes. "Some of you had stood by me and helped me get this. And I am grateful for all of the suppor that you gave. THank you again." I let the people clap and then headed off the stage. The reporters came and flooded me with questions.

Nikolas watched as she conducted herself properly. She answered the question and the flashes of lights didn't even faze her.

30 MINUTES LATER

I opened the doors and stood outside. It was rainy. This was the first rain fall all spring. I took a big breath. I couldn't believe I actually won. I heard the door open.

"You little tramp!"

I turned and saw Liz standing there. "Well hello to you too."

"First of all you ripe nikolas apart. Make him go through such pain. THen! You try and take Lucky away from me? Really who the hell do you think you are."

I smirked "Well, i know that I am the new face of deception. I won, just like I said I would"

"Yah...only because of CARLY! You are the worse type of person you leech off them and destroy their life and you think you get away with it."

"Now Elizabeth i didn't cheat on my boyfriend that is were you specialize!"

I watched at Liz walked to her car and drove off in a rage. I turned my attention to the sky. It was black velvet, with litle diamonds in it. What was i doing!? I mean...here were these two amazing guys. Lucky and Nikolas. Brothers. Nikolas was the one I truly wanted. Lucky...I wanted as a friend. But Nikolas was so mad. We both hurt each other. How could we just go back? "We can't...what have I done. Why can't I be happy? Why can't I!" I started to cry. "Why do i always have to screw up! WHY WHY WHY!" I wiped away my tears.

Lucky opened the door. He saw her wipe away the evidence of pain. "Listen Gia...I am gonna make this easy for you. We are just friends. But there is a guy in there that I know wants you back. And I am pretty sure yo uwant him. So, why are you diong this to yourself? Go to him. Don't do something you don't want to."

"Lucky it isn't that easy."

"Gia, it IS that easy. I won't deny that I have feelings for you. But I know waht you and Nikolas had was special. GIA YOU MADE HIM HAPPY! Sure you hurt him but he forgave you. Why won't forgive him?"

"Because...I...If I do forgive him. I don't wanna hurt him again. And it is better to be lonely...then to hurt the man that I care about. And look I am gonn hurt you too."

"Gia, I knew when I got involved that you still had it bad for nikolas. I wasn't fooling myself. But I care about you as friend and i won't let you ruin your life."

"What if he doesn't want me back?"

"Trust me he does. Now I am gonna send him out here. The rest is your decision...but whatever you do. I will be fine." He kissed her cheek and walked through the door.
