Lost Lovee

Setting: Lucky, Liz, Gia, Nik, Laura and Carly are all at Deception in Laura's office. It is time for the decision of who will become the new Face Of Deception.

"Nik I can't handle this...what if I was fooling myself the whole time? I mean we ALL know that Laura was only allowing me to test because she didn't wanna fight with Carly. I don't even know why I bothered to show up!"

"Gia, calm down you will do fine. Your test shots looked amazing!" He wasn't joking when he said that. He was speechless when he saw the photos. She look stunning!

"Well...but...this is to much...oh here comes Laura." Okay Gia just smile. Nothing to worry about. It isn't a big deal. Breath. You can do this. Don't look at Liz...breath....breath...smile...breath.

"Well, thanks for taking time to come down. Also thanks so much for all the effort Liz..and Gia. We have come up to our decision. I know it didn't take long but the test shot just told me who was the FOD. Of course I said it all along...CONGRADULATIONS LIZ!! I told you that you would be the ONE!"

"RIGHT ON! BABY! I TOLD YOU!" He hugged her and kissed her.

She sat there starring at them. She looked at Carly she was scowling at Liz and Lucky.

"WOW! Good job Liz. I knew you could do it! So how does it feel? Lucky man you better be careful this girl will have ALL the guys after her!" He punched Lucky in the arm. He was truly happy for Liz, he was afraid of what Gia would do if she got it. I mean what if she left him or something. He couldn't handle that. Gia had become a special person to him. He enjoyed her company.

Why was Nik so happy for her?! She thought he wanted HER to get the job. She wanted to die. AFter all that I will win crap and she still lost! She needed to get out of here and fast. She couldn't handle all the congradulations for Liz. Although she couldn't look like a spoil sport! "Congradulations Liz."

"Yah well thanks." She leans over and whispers "I told you that you wouldn't win! Blackmailing was more your thing!" She kissed Lucky and hugged Laura some more.

"YOUR A WITCH!" She couldn't believe Liz had just said that. Why doesn't anyone ever hear anything that...GIRL SAYS!!

"I agree with you Gia! She is a witch!" Carly glared some more at Liz.

"GIA!! Why would you say such a thing! Be happy for her!" Nik couldn't believe she said that! Why would she say something so rude!?

"Gia you know..WE ALL TOLD YOU THAT YOU WOULD LOOSE! Now be nice for a change...no wonder you didn't make IT!" Lucky put his arm around Liz.

Gia stood there astonished. WHY!? That was it. She didn't belong in this little click! She was going. That was it! "I can't believe this. She told me that I wouldn't win! She insulted me! Nik don't you believe me?!"

"Gia...c'mon it is in your nature to be...harsh with your tongue. I mean you are always going at it with Liz." Maybe he should be falling for Gia. It seemed like the same thing over and over again.

"Know what forget this...Forget ALL OF YOU!(she turns to Carly) Listen thanks so much for giving me a chance. It meant a lot. Good luck with your new FOD!" She was about to go when Carly replied.

"Hey Gia! If you ever need anything just tell me. Hey why don't you come over for super tonight? I could use some company tonight."

"Yah thanks I will."

"Alright see yah tonight then."

Laura was in shock "Gia..."

Gia heard Laura but refused to listen to her. She just kept walking straight out of that office. Never to return again unless to visit Carly. She liked Carly. She was a lot like her!

Back at the Cottage Gia was packing her stuff. She finally got it. Nik enjoyed company at the house but other then that he would NEVER stand up for her or comfort her. Maybe when they were in privacy would he stand up for...but in public he wouldn't. She couldn't live that! She could manage. AJ was a fair guy. He would help her. He liked her, not in the romantic sense...at least she didn't think. But that was irelavent. She knew that he was a good guy and he would help her out.

When Nik got home it was late. He expected to see Gia on the couch but she wasn't. He was dissappointed in her, but he also knew that she was hurt. He slowly went upstairs to check on her. But he first stopped in at his room. There was a note on the bed. It read...

Sorry, about the short notice but I moved tonight.

Thanks for letting me stay.

He feel on his bed. He couldn't believe this. He knew Gia was hurt but he never knew it was this bad.

"Hey AJ. Thanks for letting me stop by so late."

"No problem Gia. What can I do for you?"

"Well you see...I was wondering if you knew a place I could stay?" She was really praying that he would help her out.

"I thought you were gonna be a big famous model...what happened?" he studied her. He could tell she was hurting inside.

"Well...that didn't happen. And I need a change. It is interesting...people aren't how they seem...but can you help me?" She didn't wanna babble on with AJ but she really did need somebody to talk to.

"Yah...actually...There is an apartment on the third floor. It is available. I was living there before. It is nice. Just under my pent house. (he pointed underneath him) If you want it you can have it."

"REALLY!? Oh AJ you have no clue how happy that makes me! I needed to stay somewhere thanks soo much."

"Yah no problem. Are you hungry?" He wanted to find out what was bothering her.

"Well...actually I have a dinner reservation already. But do you have the key. As you can see I have a LOT of bags." She just wanted to get to her new place.

"Yah sure...here you go. Hope you like it. So doest that mean you are still my employee?"

"Oh yah. If you will let me?" Please say yes

"Of course! Your the best. See yah later"

"Yah thanks AJ!" She left and headed to her new home.

She unlocked the door. It was really nice. AJ had great taste. She put her stuff down. Looked at her watch it was already so late. She picked up the phone.

"Hey Carly?"

"Hey...Gia?"

"Hey Carly , I can't make it tonight. But thanks!"

"Yah no problem. Where are you? Nik just called looking for you."

"Oh..I moved out.'

"Where?"

"Underneath AJ"

"OH WOW!! Well why don't you stop by then I live in PH4"

"You know...I would but I need to get organized and what not."

"Alright...well bye"

"Bye."

The next morning Gia and AJ are at Kelly's drinking coffee.

"The best was when I tried to figure out what a....quarterback was." She was glad that she was laughing again. AJ was nice, she knew that he knew where she was living before.

"Yah. I had that same problem. It was quite imbarassing. But I kinda got it all figured out. So how do you like the room?"

Just then Nik walked in with Lucky. He saw her laughing. His heart hurt like hell right then. She was laughing with someone else.

"Yah I love it! Thanks again! I have all my stuff up. You should see all the CDs I have pilled up on the shelves!" She didn't want Nik to see hurt pain, but rather the strength. She noticed him looking at her.

"Really? Hey we should probably get going for that meeting."

"Yah that is a good idea." She got up looked at Nik and walked away with AJ.

"Earth to bro! You there?" He was waving his hand in front of Nik

"Oh yah I am. Sorry." He couldn't believe she just left without evening saying hi. He had hurt her badly.

"Come on lets sit down. Man I am so proud of Liz. Hey what was up with Gia yesterday. What did she say when you got home last night?"

"umm...she wasn't there. It appears that Gia has moved on." Well it was true. She didn't want to have anything to do with him. She had moved on. He needed to talk to her.

"Man what happened?"

"Well I got a letter saying that she had moved and thanks for the stay." He would go and catch her later on tonight. Maybe Carly knew where she was.

"So that is why you are so off today. Well she is just pouting because the Liz won. I mean Gia didn't really think she had a chance did she?"

"YEAH SHE DID! Gosh cna't you say something nice! See yah!" He couldn't belive Lucky. He was being so insensitive.

Later on that night. Gia is sitting on the swings.

It wasn't that cold out tonight. It was nice to be out in the open. She still hadn't really thought about what had happened in the last two days. She began to get teary eyed. She hated crying. But she wanted to so badly. WHERE WAS NIK!! She was there for him when his world crashed around him but Nik didn't do anything for her when she lost other then get mad at her! She began to sob.

He was slowly wondering the park. It was peaceful night outside. He heard something from behind the bushes. He looked and there was Gia. Sitting there crying. "Gia..."

She looked up. It was HIM! "What do you want?" She quickly looked away and wiped her tears away.

"Gia...why did you move out?"

"WHY!? Lets see because you knew how much that job meant to me and you didn't even acknowledge that I failed! AGAIN! You don't care about anyone else except for YOU and....your friends...! Which is fine because that night made me realize that you don't have room in your life for another friend. NIK you NEVER stand up for me! You let me fall and never catch me! Who was there when youfound out about your uncle? ME!! Who made you go see him so you could know the whole truth?! That was ME AGAIN!! Did it even register that my mother was calling me a failure and she was actually right! Do you know what it is like to have someone complain about EVERYTHING YOU DO!!? No cause Stephan just wants to help. He congradulates you on success! My mother MAKES FUN OF ME CONSTANTLY!! So that is why I moved out! Now I really need to go AJ is taking me out tonight!" She was glad she had an excuse to get out of there.

"GIA!! Please you called Liz a witch...for no reason." were her and AJ dating?

"THAT IS WHY I MOVED NIK CAUSE YOU ALWAYS BELIEVE LIZ!!" She began to cry as she yelled it out.

Just then AJ came by on his way to find Gia. He heard the whole conversation. What an ass!

"Nikolas I think that is enough!"

They two turned around and saw AJ standing there.

"AJ! I was just coming to find you...umm...you ready to go?" She wiped her eyes and walked towards him.

"Yah. Lets go." He put his arm around Gia and they left.

Nik sat at Kelly's thinking. Weeks have past since the two have talked. He knew he was in the wrong. He could never get Gia along she was always with AJ! What if they liked each other? Then where would that leave him...He kept kicking himself for being such a jerk. He wanted her back in his life.

Her and AJ had been spending so much time together lately. But she knew AJ didn't have feelings for her. They had talked about it. AJ had told her that he knew what it was like to be the outcast. He also stated that he enjoyed her company and that was it. She agreed. She found AJ amusing to be around. They had a lot of things in common. But she still missed Nik. If he wasn't so stubborn! If he would just apologize! Then she would move back but NOOOOO! Stubburn PRINCE!

Gia and AJ are at the Grill laughing. It is a banquet. They are sitting with Emily and Zander. Emily finally had returned home. Zander was off all charges and Sorel was in prison. Gia and Emily had slowly become better friends. She turned and saw Nik walk in with Alexis. Oh great just what I need. Nik in a suit! He was soo fine...don't think like that Gia. He was mean! PERIOD!

Nik walked in and saw Gia laughing with....AJ!! Man he truly wanted to kill that man. He then saw Emily get up and slowly make her way towards him.

"Hey there Nik!"

"Hey Emily! Looks like your on a double date!" He glared at AJ.

"Oh...no! Gia and AJ aren't on a date. Gia didn't have anyone to do with....(she looked at Nik and starred) and AJ came and I invited him to come and sit with the three of us. Gia is a great girl. She is really sweet."

"Yah...well..." HE knew that!

"You know...YOU ARE STUPID!"

"What?" where was she going with this?

"You know. If you were actually smart you would see what a great girl you could have had! But you wouldn't let down your pride! And now...well...AJ is with her...well...not dating...but...the way you are acting....I am sure they will!" SHe knew they wouldn't be dating but she needed Nik to start to think.

"You think soo?" Oh no! He didn't want that.

"YAH!! Not to mention the fact that she has seen Jason...and well...."

"Oh...well....you know Gia has moved on."

"NIKOLAS! OPEN YOUR EYES! Ask her to dance for crying out loud!

"Why?"

"Because you LIKE HER!!"

"Fine...I can do that. It is a simple dance."

He was starting to walk over when her and AJ got up and started to dance. DAMN! He was really starting to hate that man! Okay think Nik...plan B...do I have a plan B? He sat down. He watched as she was dancing. She was realy quite graceful. She could tango amazing! As the song ended. He got up and headed towards her.

"Hey Gia...umm...how are you?"

"well...I COULD be better. But you know i wouldn't wanna burden you!"

"Gia...I don't wanna fight. I wanna..."

"WHAT? You wanna what?"

"Kiss you." Why had he said that? He was ready for a slap.

She couldn't believe what he had just said. "So does that mean you are sorry for the way you treated me?"

"Yes. It does. Gia. I have been beating myself up for the last MONTH! I can't eat, sleep...I need you in my life. Please come home." He grabbed her hand

"You can now."

"Can what?"

"Kiss me..."

He pulled her in close and slowly and tenderly kissed her.
