HEART BREAK

***********

Yes this is a reply to the fan fic challenge. It is about Nikolas finding out about Gia's lies. I hope you enjoy!

***********

I had been having the perfect week. Perfection sums it up perfectly. I didn't think my life could actually get this wonderful. But it has, and a lot because of Nikolas. My roommate, at least it started off that it was just a platonic relationship...but happily it has grown.

Me and Nikolas finally confessed that we wanted a commitment! I felt so relived! I have wanted it for a long time, but never had enough courage to say anything. I was so worried that he would reject me. But a couple of nites ago I had this freaky dream.

I was in the studio...Theo's studio. Everyone was calling me on all my lies and tricks. Nikolas came out and he told me that he never wanted to see my face again. I woke up so scared. I realized that if I ever lost him...I would hate myself for it. I would hate the fact that I had lost the best thing that ever happened to me.

I told him I wanted a commitment and he wanted one too. I couldn't believe it. I felt like I was in heaven. He is such a wonderful guy! And I know that if he ever found out about my lies he would never forgive me! I totally regret everything that I did. I know I could have hurt people...but I wanted to make my mom proud and I wanted to show Nikolas that I was someone to love...but all I have ended up doing is blackmailing and lieing.

AROUND DUSK

What a day! I don't think I have ever done that much work in that amound of time. I looked at my watch it was 5:00pm. I am so hungry...hmmm...I wonder if Nikolas is home. I took out my key for the Cottage. I placed it in the lock and turned the nob.

"Nikolas are you home!" I looked around the Cottage...there was no sign of him. I pooked my head in the back. His car was here. I wonder where he went. I headed up to my room. My feet where so tired of walking and doing erans. I opened my door.

"What the...." I looked at my room everything was throne in boxes. My pictures where gone off the wall. "NIKOLAS!!" I raced into his room. There he was laying on his bed.

"You made good time."

"Nikolas what happened to my room? Everything...is in boxes why?"

He got up. He was tired of her lies. That is all she was, a liar. "I packed for you."

"Why?"

"Because you are getting out of my HOUSE!"

I took a step back. I had never seen Nikolas so mad before. It scared me. "What happened. Did Helena come and see you?"

"NO! Actually Liz came over and she told me all about what you have been up to lately! I thought you changed!"

I could feel myself getting dizzy. He knew...I tried to breath but it didn't help. "Nikolas...I can"

"I don't want to hear it! You lied again GIA! NOW GET OUT OF MY SITE! Because quite frankly you are making me SICK!"

I could feel the tears coming to surface. "I can explain Nikolas...just please dont do this...not now...not after we got this far!" I tried to touch him but he pulled away.

"We only got this far because you lied your way through it! NOW LEAVE!"

I turned my head from him. I closed my eyes and pictured his eyes. They were so cold..."Where am I suppose to stay?"

"You know what I don't care! Go live on Courtland street I am sure you would fit RIGHT IN!!" He watched as she took the blow. He hated this...but he didn't know what to do.

I stood there starring at him. "You know what Nikolas! I may have done HORRIBLE things...but never ONCE did I go that low!"

"Well...maybe you should just handle the truth. You are nothing but a blackmailing LIAR!! And you do belong at Courtland street and that would be like living it up!"

I took my hand and slapped him across the face! I could feel his unshaved chin underneath my hand. "I hope your satisfied!" I turned and slammed the door. I walked into my room. I was so angry...I grabbed the phone and began to dial a cab.

He stood there watching her move her boxes into the cab. Why! WHY! Was he so mean! He had riped her...she was heart broken and he knew it. "Why do I care! She lied Nikolas LIED!"

TWO WEEKS LATER

I moved up into Kelly's Hannah had left so there was a free space. I had been painting and redcorating my room for a couple days now. Tammy had said it was fine as long as I paid for it all.

I finished washing my hands and headed downstairs. Lucky and Elizabeth were yelling at each other. Well...Lucky was yelling and Liz was crying. I stood by the stairs listening.

"Elizabeth I told you it was OVER two weeks ago! Now...get over it...go find Jason or someone else to harrass...becuase the ride stopped a long time ago"

"Lucky...come on...it was a mistake!" She grabbed his arm and he pushed her back.

"Listen, its over. I am done with being made. I had known for a long time. I am over it now alright. Just go be happy. But it won't be with me."

Liz turned and ran upstairs bumping into me on her way up. I made my way down the last couple of stairs. "That didn't sound that good."

He turned and looked at me. "Yah...well she just doesn't get it."

"I can see that. I didn't know you two where over. Sorry," I sat down beside him. "What did she do...Jason?"

He chuckled "Yah...but it is over. I knew for a long time. Just wouldn't acknowledge it. So, Nikolas still not talking to you?" He sipped his coffee.

"Yah...but I'm over it. I wronged him and it is over. I refuse to cry over spilt milk. So, what are you up to tonight?"

He smiled at her. Was she hitting on him? "Not much may go to a club. You?"

I had always thought Lucky was cute. But I wasn't sure if I was just rebound...but then again he may just be that for me too. "Nothing. Probably...hang some pictures."

"Hey I got an idea."

I looked at him "What?"

"Well...I don't wanna go solo so why don't I help you hang your pictures and then we can go to my dad's club."

I smiled. I liked the idea. It sounded like it could be some real fun "Sure...I'd like that!"

"Great...so lets go gets those pictures up!"

I stood up and led him to my room. It felt funny having Lucky come into my room. I stood aside as he walked in. I kept a lot of pride in my room. Everything was me. From my Hello Kitty paper set to my assortment of music.

He looked at her CD collections. She had everything. His dad would have been so proud. "You got quite a collection here."

"Yah I am a total music buff. Can't live without it." I sat down on my bed.

"I can see. Can I put something on?"

"Oh...yah go for it." I watched him pick up some dance music. I liked his choice. It was always important to make sure they picked good music. Nikolas tried but he was....what was she thinking...no nik no nik no nik.

"Alright...Gia...where are these pictures?"

I walked over to my closet and grabbed a box. I watched as his jaw dropped. "I know there are a lot hence why it was an all night thang. If you don't wanna help that is okay..."

"No...I just didn't expect you to be like this." He moved his hands around the room.

"What did you expect? Blackmail plans all around the room?" I crocked one eyebrow up.

He let out a laugh. "No...I guess I never pictured you so...funny and what not."

"Well...that is because you don't know me very well. I am multi-talented...no one ever wants to stick around to see it." I brushed past him.

Well I know I wanna stay around to find out. "So...where should we get started?"

THREE HOURS LATER

I looked around my room. It looked perfect. "Thanks Lucky. It would've taken me at leave SIX hours to do this!" I starred looking at my walls of fame.

"Yah...well it was a lot of fun." He looked at his watch it was 6:00 "You have an hour to get ready and then can we go let loose?"

I laughed. He was a totally different person. He seemed so fun and wild. An adventure. "Sure."

He walked out of her room. This is no good. He knew he had feelings for Gia before but this was just a little out of control.

I sat and looked outside...I missed Nikolas. But he had made it quite clear that he didn't want anything to do with me. So tonight I was just gonna have fun. Let loose like Lucky said.

LUKE'S

Lucky could barely keep his eyes off Gia. SHe looked HOT and SEXY! WOW! She had a nice little number on. "So, this is my dad's place. Blues club. I should warn you, my dad is VERY interesting."

I laughed. I had heard a lot about Luke. Nikolas had a lot of wild stories but now it was my turn to see what he was truly like. "Hey...thanks for taking me here. I really needed to get out of there. It feels good. Like I'm alive again."

"I know what you mean." He opened the door for her.

I walked in. The music was soothing. It hit me and I let go of everything that was holding me down. I turned to face Lucky. He was smiling at me. Knowing that I was already having fun. "So, where is your dad? I wanna meet the great Luke Spencer!"

He looked at her. "You sure?"

"Yah! Come on!" I grabbed his hand. He then started to lead me to the back of the bar.

"Hey Damian where is dad?"

The man pointed to the corner by the piano.

"Thanks Man." He turned to face me. "You are sure. You do realize that once he meets you...there is..."

I placed my hand on his arm. "Lucky I am sure. C'mon he can't be that bad!" I started to laugh.

"No he isn't." He grabbed her hand. And led her to his dad. "Hey dad. I want you to meet someone."

Luke turned his attention to his son "Hey Cowboy...and hello to you." He smiled at this girl by his son.

I blushed a little and smiled back at him. "Hi Mr. Spencer. I have heard a lot about you."

"And I am sure it was all good." He winked at her.

I looked at Lucky. He was a lot like his father. "Yah, it was all good. I like your club."

"Well...now see I knew there was a reason why I liked you."

"Dad come on. Be easy on her."

"I am assuming you have a name?" He leaned on the piano

"Yah I do. It's Gia Campbell."

20 MINUTES LATER

I walked over to Lucky he was getting us a drink. "Hey Lucky I am just gonna go the lady's room. Be right back."

He nodded his head and watched her leave. She was a fine lady. "So, dad what do you think of her?"

"I like her! She has guts! I like that about a women and not a push over. Does she like blues?"

He laughed.

"Cowboy what is so funny?"

"Man, dad this girl has an amazing collection of music. She had every type. I was helping her hang some pictures today and I knew you would like her!"

"She have any BB King?"

"Yah she has his greatest hits and other ones."

Luke looked at the ceiling. "So what about Liz? She just disappear?"

"Dad, Liz and I were over a long time ago I just wouldn't admit it. And I have now. Besides Gia and I are just friends. We needed to have a good night so she came along." He saw her walking towards her

I felt like dancing. I knew Lucky and Luke werer talking about me...it didn't bother me. I figured Luke was giving him the whole what about Elizabeth talk. "Hey Lucky lets dance!" I looked at him with a pleading smile.

"How can I resist!?"

"You can't! Mr. Spencer your son has got a lot of smarts in him."

"Yah well he was raised by a smart man."

Lucky took my hand and we began to dance together. I watched as Roy sat down and started to play the piano. He pulled me closer to him. I rested my head on his shoulder. It was the first time that I felt calm and happy. I needed this night. I need to have fun. Thoughts of Nikolas had been wearing me out. And I had come to the conclusion more than once that Nikolas and I were never meant to be! We must have been dancing for a long time. I could feel him pulling back a little. I took a step away. "You dance really well." I whispered it barely able to speak.

He took his hand and moved it across my face. "I have a good partner."

I stood there starring into his blue eyes.

Nikolas was frozen in his spot. He watched as his brother hit on his girlfriend. Or should he say ex-girlfriend. Why did he let her go. That should be him holding onto her and whispering things to her. Making her smile. He missed that smile so much. It was one that he loved to come home too. Why didn't he just try to work it through with her?

I could tell I was getting that flippy feeling in my tummy. I decided I should break the connection before he kissed me or soemthing. I wasn't quite sure if I was ready for that. "Are you thristy?"

He snapped out of it and took his hand off her face. "Yah that would be great. YOu want me to go get it?"

"No I can get it. Why don't you go get us a table?"

"Sure."

I turned and headed over to the bar. I began to order my drink when I turned and saw Nikolas starring at me from across the room. "Nikolas..." I could feel everything getting smaller. He had that effect on my. Making my knees weak and making my heart stop. He had the effect...but I still knew it was over.

"Hey Gia. So you having fun?"

"Yah, actually your brother was kind enough to take me out. Feels good to get out. Why you here? I thought you hated Luke's?"

"I do...I just..wanted to stop by...something inside of me. So you and my brother look pretty close. You two dating>?"

I looked at him. "Why would you care? I am just some whore that should be living on Courtland street right?" I raised my eyebrow. I watched as the memories flooded back into his mind.

"Gia listen I should have never said anything...but...you lied."

"Well you know what Nikolas...me lying doesn't excuse your LACK of behavior. Now I have my date waiting for me. HAve a good night." I could feel his hand on my arm.

"How am I suppose to have a good night knowing that you are out with my brother?"

"You know what Nikolas I don't know. All I know is that I was willing to work it out but that wasn't good enough for you. My sorry's and effort wasn't worth your time. Now let go of me!" I pulled away from him and headed over to Lucky. When I got there He was looking at me.

"Hey I saw Nikolas tlaking to you. If you wanna go..that is fine with me. I would understand. Maybe this was a bad idea..."

Before he could say anything I stopped him. "Listen Lucky...Nikolas and I are gonna run into each other. No big deal alright. No c'mon this was a great idea. Just imagine me still putting pictures up and you sitting here by yourself. How lonely would we have been?"

He smiled "Yah your right. So what did you get?"

"Hmmm...I just asked the guy to get us something. I don't know what it is. I decided I wanted to try something different out."

"Looks good. Cheers to turning over a new stone." He raised his glass high.

"Cheers to turning over a new stone." We clanged our glasses together.

Nikolas watched from across the club. He wanted her back. He just wasn't sure how to get her back...
