Prize Winning Fabulous Tiramisu

1 pound cake (I use pound cake mix or make a sponge cake from scratch)
3 Tbsp. Instant Coffee
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 cup boiling water
1/4 cup dark rum
2 pkg. (8 oz. each) Moscapone Italian cream cheese softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. Marsella wine, almond-flavored liqueur or brandy (optional)
2 cups wipping cream (whipped)
1 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
ARRANGE slice pound cake into thin slices and arrange on bottom of 13x9-inch dish.
Dissolve instant coffee and 2 Tbsp. of sugar in boiling water. Let cool and add rum.
Brush 1/2 cup of coffee mixture over sliced pound cake in dish.
BEAT mascapone with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add sugar
and Marscella wine or liqueur, mixing until blended. Gently stir in whipped cream.
POUR 1/2 of the whipped cream mixture over pound cake Top with remaining pound cake; brush with remaining coffee.
Spoon remaining mascapone mixture over sliced pound cake. Dust with cocoa. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.

TIPS

Great Substitute: Substitute 1 pkg. (10-3/4 oz.) frozen pound cake, thawed, thinly sliced or sponge cake. Prepare as directed above.
