The never ending race of life
Race to be school age...speeding along reading and writing and hoping for recess
Teen years come along...race to finish school...get a date...try sex.
Race to get a car...a job...
Become a man...a woman
Can't get enough of whatever it is that makes us happy
Wondering why not happy.
Pass our friends and don't look back
Cook a meal
Another pay check
Race through the shower to get there on time
Laughing...crying...never noticing the rain
No time for cleaning the house
Hobbies have to wait
Race to answer the phone
No time to talk
Have to go
Ironing is out of the question
Hose have a run
Shoes run over...buy another pair
Time for retirement
Time for med-care
Too much gray hair
Nearing the end
It's all over...
