Motherhood

Motherhood is the one vocation, that if we do a very good job, we work ourselvesout of a job. HA! But really, motherhood is a vocation that lasts a life time. We carry those little loved ones under our hearts for ninemonths...waiting in anticipation for their arrival.

We cradle them in our arms, protect them from harm, sing them soft lullabies, and pray to the Lord to help us be good mothers. If our babes are six days or sixty years old, we still treasure them and want to protect them from harm. We wipetheir noses, and wipe their bottoms, we help them with their homework, we prepare good meals to keep them strong and healthy, we lend them money, we anger when they screw up, but most of all...we Love Our Children.

Motherhood can be a thankless job, a rewarding job, a pleasant job, a dreadful job, an exciting job,a hectic job, a loving job, a creative job...but no matter which...it is a life time job. Whether we give birth to our children or adopt them...we are the one persons that can't be replaced...we are Mothers...and that truly is the very best job vocation...EVER.
