Italian Bean and Pasta Soup


1 can pinto beans(drained)

1 can Italian tomatoes

1/3 cup salad macaroni

1 carrot (diced)

1 celery stalk (diced)

2 leaves kale (chopped) cabbage may be substituded

1 can beef broth

4 cans water

salt and pepper

pinch dried sweet basil or fresh (if available)

1/2 yellow onion (chopped)

2 cloves garlic (minced)


Saute onion and garlic in pot. Careful not to burn garlic. Place broth and water in pot. Add other ingredients except pasta. Allow to cook on medium heat until boiling. Reduce heat and add pasta. Cook on low heat approximately 15 minutes or until pasta is cooked. Serve with French bread or salad.
