THE GOLDEN RULE

Always practice the golden rule
that's what they taught us
when we went to school

As time past
the golden rule didn't last
No one remembered the words it said

Lies dominate the scene
Til death do us part...
a thing of the past
a vow never lasts

The golden rule has all but passed ...
Maybe the next generation will wake up to say...
there has to be more...
to live out our day

my memory it still burns
It's standards will survive
Caring, honesty and pride
