SiMS is the first company to start promoting the training of VLSI Design in Educational Institutions in India, in the year 1998. We have supplied and given training to more than 1,500 Engineers and 400 Lecturers and Instructors in South India, which has covered more than 48 Institutions.

Glimpse on Workshops & Seminars conducted by SiMS

We made efforts from last couple of years to help Educational institution in reducing the gap between education & Industry. We have conducted ,participated in lot of workshops seminars in the same regard.

June 2000:
A state level trainer's training for polytechnic lecturers at Hotel Atria in collaboration with DTE ,Govt Of Karnataka Bangalore.

Sept 2000:
A national level seminar was on 'VLSI & CAD For VLSI' organized for 6 days (4th Sept - 9th Sept) with BIT Bangalore in July 1999, with TEXAS, PHILIPS, BEL, XILINX & MENTOR GRAPHICS. More than 200 participants from all over India attended the seminar.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr.G.Parameshwara Hon'ble Minister for Higher Education ,Govt.of Karnataka.

Sept. 2000:
A workshop on 'DSP Architecture & Tools ' for 3 days(13th Sept to 15th Sept) for VTU lecturers was organized in RVCE in association with Texas Instruments.
It was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister for Social Welfare Mr. Kagodu Thimmappa ,Govt.of Karnataka

June 2001:
Workshop for five days (14th May - 18th May)VTU Lecturers for 'VHDL & VLSI Design Tools' was arranged with lab training in MVJ College in Bangalore in Jan 2001.
It was sponsored by Philips, Texas Instruments ,Sasken, Xilinx & Silicon Micro Systems .

Sept .2001:
Co Sponsor seven days (14th Sept - 21st Sept) workshop on CAD for VLSI at Hubli with SASKEN.
Sponsored by VTU .

Oct.2001:
A workshop for VTU Lecturers was organized with SJCIT Chickballapur for 3 days (3rdOct - 5th Oct) on 'Embedded systems using PIC Micro Controller' with Microchip-USA.

Oct.2002:
State Level five days workshop (22nd Oct- 25th Oct )was organized at KLE, Belgaum for VTU Professors on 'Embedded systems Design & Its Industrial Application'
Speakers from IIT Mumbai, Philips Bangalore & Silicon Micro Systems.

January 2003 :
A workshop arranged by Ministry Of Labour /D.G.E.&T. Advance Training Institute for Electronics & Process Instruments Hyderabad on 'New Trends in Microcontroller & Application'

Dec 2002 -January 2003
National level ten days (30th Dec - 10th Jan) workshop at CBIT Hyderabad on 'VLSI & Embedded Systems' for lecturers from JNTU & other universities in Andhra Pradesh.
