| Pony for Sale After several years of teaching lessons, I have decided to retire my older horse Tanner and stop teaching lessons. This decision was made primarily for health reasons, I suffer migraine headaches in the summer heat and have several joint issues that I'm finding harder to deal with when working with the horses. In other words, this is a great pony that is available only because I will no longer be needing her for my lesson program. |

| This pony is the whole package, she does it all! She ties, trailers (loads like a dream), clips (falls asleep in crossties while you clip), bathes, etc. She's a great lead line/lunge line pony for beginners, she'd trot around on the lunge all day if you asked her. She loves to jump and will jump anything you put in front of her with no stop, just point and go. Skittles also loves to game and is an experienced show pony. She would make a fantastic PPG pony for Pony Clubbers. Until the last couple of years when I began cutting back, Skittles has been shown by mostly novice riders and always brought home year end awards at the schooling show level. I believe she could easily do more in the show ring, but we've always just stuck with schooling shows, fairs and local gymkhanas. Classes she's competed in have included: lead line, walk/trot, trot over crossrails, walk/trot/canter classes, hunter over fences, jumper, pairs, pairs over fences, costume and many games/gymkhana classes. Show results are available on our results page. She has also done a few parades and some trail riding. Skittles would make a great pony club mount or first pony, she's just one of those really good all around ponies. Skittles is also a very healthy and hardy pony. She lives out 24/7 with shelter and has never had any health issues or needed shoes. She is very low maintenance. Nice correct conformation and great feet. She receives regular trims from the farrier and is up to date on deworming and vaccinations. Stands quietly for both vet and farrier. Skittles is turning 12 this year, her date of birth is April 11, 1997. She is approx. 13.2h, though I've never measured her with a stick. She's got a nice solid build, capable of carrying up to a small adult and she is a smooth ride, not choppy. She is a POA/Arab cross and is registered with the CPAR (Canadian Partbred Arabian Register) Reg. # 1A04564 Asking $5000 |
