| Airsoft is a sport played by many people around the world. It is very big in Japan, Britain, and America mainly, though. Airsoft is a military simulation game played with airsoft guns (Markers). In this sport people are split up into teams and the object of the game can be to save hostages, achieve a goal, or eliminate the other team. The guns used in this sport are realistic looking guns with orange tips that fire 6mm (milimeter) BBs. These BBs can be traveling at speeds of 150 FPS (feet per second) to 600 FPS. Airsoft can be played in the backyards of people's homes, on professional playing fields, and can even be taken to extremes and played on hundreds of acres of woodlands, fields, and swamps.
