| Chapter 27 Harry stalked off down the hall towards Gryffindor tower with Christina on his heels, "What do you mean you don't care? You have to care! Harry, this is for your safety! Harry, listen!" She grabbed his arm and turned him around, "Harry, I care about you and I don't want you to get hurt. Please take your Occlumency classes." Harry breathed in her perfume and the sweet, fragrant smell made him calm down, "Alright, I'll do it. I'm going to get ready for class, alright?" Christina let go of his arm and sighed, "Yeah, sure." She turned and walked back towards the Great Hall. Harry rolled his eyes and turned to walk towards Gryffindor Tower. Harry's first class for today was Potions. He was dreading it worse than anything. He made his way slowly down towards the dungeons before everyone came down from breakfast. If he could just ask Snape before everyone came then when Snape yelled no one would hear it, hopefully. Harry opened the door to Snape's classroom. No one was there so Harry walked to his usual desk and put his things down and set up his cauldron. Then, he walked up to Snape's desk and waited. This time he wouldn't look at anything. The last time he let curiousity take hold of him, he looked into Snape's pensieve and that was why Harry no longer took Occlumency but even if Christina was a bit annoying sometimes, she had his needs at heart and he wished to make her happy. Harry heard the dungeon door open and in strode Snape not noticing Harry's presence. He looked up and saw Harry standing at his desk, staring at him, "Well, Potter? What do you want?" Harry wanted to just run out and not ask at all but this was important, "Well, sir. Do you remember my Occlumency classes I took with you last term?" Snape nodded, coldly. Harry continued, "Well, I was thinking, seeing as to how a war is probably going to start, I was thinking maybe I should take them again?" Snape looked at Harry as if he were asking to have is heart on a platter, "Mr.Potter, if you can't remember I threw you out of THAT class last year due to your lack of self control. If you deem yourself more fit to take on Occlumency again, seriously, then I request that you be here Monday night, 8 O' clock pm. Do you understand?" Harry nodded his head, "Thank you, sir." Snape pointed to where Harry's things were, "Now get to your seat." That night at dinner Christina grabbed Harry's plate away from him before he could take the first bite, "No eating ever again until you've asked Professor Snape for Occlumency lessons.", she whispered. Harry grabbed his plate back from her and dug in, "Ah...arksd...id...afreddy." "What?", asked Christina, disgusted by Harry's lack of manners. Harry swallowed, "I asked him already." Christina's eyes lit up, "Oh lovely! And what did he say?" Ron cut in, "Too deal with it himself and it's not his fault if he dies in his sleep." Harry laughed but Christina frowned and tapped her fingers. Harry looked at her, "He told me to be in the dungeons at 8 on Monday." That Friday, Gryffindor had their first match of the season. When the team got into the locker rooms and had changed, Harry looked around at them all. Wood and Angelina both gave pep talks before their other games but Harry didn't really know what to say. The team looked up at him waiting for something long and boring that just wasted time then made them feel better. Harry knew he had to say something so he said, "Um...go out their and fight the good fight!" The team screamed, "Ya!!!!!", picked up their brooms, and walked to the stadium entrance. The teams took their places and when Madame Hooch blew her whistle, they were off. Their first match was against Hufflepuff and without Cedric, Harry felt that their team might be weak but they had had a year to recoup so maybe they were strong again. 2 hours later, Gryffindor was only up 6 points with Hufflepuff behind by 4. Harry circled in the air, over and over again, watching his teammates play. Harry spotted a glint of gold by the Hufflepuff goal posts. He sped full-speed towards the posts. He saw Christina, high above him, screaming. Harry was surprised. She wasn't screaming for him to help. What she screamed sounds something like,"Watch..." Harry couldn't hear the next words but he soon realized what she was trying to say. Harry looked in front of him and saw the snitch but behind the snitch was a silver light in the shadows of the stands. The light grew huge and as Harry grasped the snitch the light formed itself into a giant ball. Harry could hear people in the stands screaming as the light became bigger and bigger. Harry could see someone standing behind the light but he couldn't see who. Then, as suddenly as he had seen it, the light engulfed him and he felt his body numb. He had the Snitch clasped tightly in his hand but he couldn't feel it. Then, a wave of what felt like an electrical shock went through his body. Like when he was four and Dudley had told him to stick his fork into the electrical outlet. He felt himself being tossed and turned like a fish. He was being shaken, to death. |
