Harry looked around for something to do.He could see Voldemort moving closer and closer to Christina.She cowered in the corner of her cage.Harry thought,his mind was blank.He felt around in his sweatshirt.He found the box,he couldn't think of how it could've gotten there but he pulled it out.He looked inside it and he pulled out his father's wand.He felt a surge of power go up his arm.He felt as if he could destroy anything.
Christina saw him,"Harry,no! You don't know what it will do!"
Harry aimed the wand at Voldemort's back.
Lord Voldemort turned around,"What do you think you are going to do now boy?Are you going to kill me?If you kill me with that wand,you'll kill the girl too..."
Harry looked to Christina for help.She was still in the corner of the cage.
She looked at him sadly,"Just do it Harry,forget about me.Harry just do it!!!"
So Harry took aim,he shouted the words that would seal his fate,"Avada Kedavra!"
"Noooooo!!!!!!!"
The wand started to shake violently and a bright green light shot out from it.What Harry didn't know was that Lord Voldemort had apparated before he even said the words.Christina was right in the line of fire and there was nothing Harry could do.Luckily,Voldemort wasn't right in front of Christina,the curse hit her in the arm.
Harry ran to her but everything seemed to go in slow motion.
"AHHHH!!!",screamed Christina.
Harry finally reached the cage.He searched blindly for the keys but couldn't find them,every minute counted.Harry took his wand and opened the lock.Christina lay motionless on the floor of the cage.Harry looked inside and he saw Christina spralled out,her face twisted in pain and anguish.
Harry picked her up and laid her on a table on the side of the room,"Christina wake up,please,it's not right,I didn't mean to hurt you,you told me..."
Harry looked for a pulse.There was none.He looked again,there was a soft thumping,almost undetectable.
Harry looked towards Malfoy.He kicked him in the shins.
"You're still alive?! What happened?!",shouted Malfoy.
Harry looked down at him,"No time to explain.Help me get her out of here."
He pointed to Christina.
Malfoy got up to his feet and staggered over to the table and looked down at Christina,"Who's she? And why should I help you when you've ruined my life?"
Harry didn't have time for this.He pushed Malfoy,"Why?! Why?! Because she's dieing! That's why!"
Malfoy grinned,"So you want to know how to get out of here,huh?"
Harry stepped up towards Malfoy's face,"Yes,now move."
Malfoy grinned even wider,"What do I get?"
Harry punched Malfoy in the stomach.
Malfoy staggered back,wheezing,"Fine,behind the bookcase,the other room...."
Harry didn't wait for Malfoy to say anything else.He picked up the limp Christina and ran to the other room.He laid her down on the floor and pushed the bookcase aside.He opened the door behind it and picked up Christina and ran up the stairs.
He entered what looked like the kitchen but it didn't have any regular microwaves or any muggle appliances.He ran through the kitchen into a large dining room.Harry was so tired by now,he wanted to sit down but he heard people talking on the other side of the door.He had no where to go now except back or through the crowd of people now coming through the door.Harry hid himself and Christina under the table.He felt for her pulse,it was slowing down quickly.
He remembered the pendant around his neck."Could they get here in time?",he thought.
"No,there's not enough time to save her."
So Harry,with luck on his side,ran through the group of people whom Narcissa Malfoy seemed to be entertaining.There were alot of shouts but no one bothered to go after him.
Harry reached the main entrance.He reached the huge front doors and surprisingly he came face to face with Percy Weasley and Cornilious Fudge,the minister of magic's assistant and the Minister of Magic himself.Harry was so glad to see them.He babbled on and on about the fight with Voldemort and Draco and Christina.Fudge was dumbfounded.
He looked at Harry strangely,"Harry,where is Lord Voldemort?"
"I told you,he's gone!"
Percy shook his head,"Harry,normally I would agree with you,"
"You didn't last year.",thought Harry
"But it doesn't look good for you right now Harry.",continued Percy.
The minister nodded.Harry shook his head.Percy was Ron's older brother and just last year he told Ron to stop talking to him just because the Minister didn't believe him.Harry shook his head and ran outside.He ran down the driveway and expected to see a road but it just ended in a field,apparently a quidditch field.Harry had no choice,Christina was fading fast.
He squeezed the pendant and laid Christina gently on the ground and held her hand.It seemed like forever to Harry but soon Lupin and Moody showed up.Harry babbled on about what had happened.Lupin made him slow down when he spoke about using his father's wand.
When Harry was done Lupin spoke to him quickly,"Harry we don't have much time.I believe that before your parents died,they charged their wands to be ready on hand to make the ultimate curse even more powerful.I believe that is why Sirius didn't want you to use them.The charge is only good once.Poor Christina,didn't get hit directly but she won't be well for a very long time.Too bad no good came out of this."
