| Baby Baby I could not believe it When I found the letter you left it on the table I couldnt miss it, least you could have hid it I guess in a way you did me a favor Was all about the way you love to smell her skin while shes sleepin How you love to touch her Something about some cigarettes somewhere Well I dont smoke Do not smoke Do not smoke Baby baby, do you call her baby I bet you call her kitty bet I heard you say shes pretty Bet you curl up cozy by the fire Maybe I should tell her that baby, youre a liar. Didnt mean to wake you up Lay down your sleepy head Didnt mean to wake you up Go back to sleep and dream of her Dream of her holding you Dream of her holding you Baby baby, let me tell you something One day youll be sorry- One day youll regret it I hate to be the one to break it to you but that girls a bitch And dont forget I said it. Didnt mean to wake you up Lay down your sleepy head Didnt mean to wake you up Go back to sleep and dream of her Dream of her holding you Dream of her holding you |
| You know, i always liked this song- (by the Pierces) from the first time that i heard it. I thought it was too bad because it didn't really apply to me. i mean, not that i wanted some guy to do that to me, but i digress. Last night i was laying in bed listening to this and i realized that with a few minor lyrical changes i could make this song mine. Kinda sad. ah well. it's a swell song if you ask me. i just wish i could figure out the rest of the chords. i especially like this bit <------- and of course the first verse. thats where most of the lyrical changes would come it... but the idea would be the same.. just the particulars different. so that's a positive thing. now i have a song that i can identify with better. yep. that's me. the eternal optimist. John and Jeffy and i were discussing the 'Asshole List' last sunday on the way to Macedonia. I was thinking about that too... it's so funny how i forget things so quickly and get sad or worked up or whatever and then i remember 'the rest of the story' *paul harvey voice* I wish i always knew the rest of the story. thanks naythanmaythan. i wish i had taken you up on that walk last night. |
