| i am so sick of people asking me what a goth is. if you have to ask, you aren't one. goths are born goth, and they know they are different, and they like it- most of the time. if you want to find out what the whole 'underground' culture is about, i suggest you forget it and go back to wherever you came from. a goth's life is one of heart breaking beauty. most gothics persieve the world at a completely different level to that of the superficial mainstream. at one stage, the subculture was unique. most of the people being punks, artists, and basically 'hardcore' misfits. now the whole scene has been watered down with people just trying to fit in somewhere. the whole thing has currently got a lame reputation. screw reputations. we are people just striving to be ourselves, whoever the hell that might be. goths are unique. we hide in the shadows. it's time to show the world.. the other side. the deep intricacy of a morbid, spiritual world.. sometimes, the fear becomes overwhelming. but we have to take hold of that fear. being haunted shouldn't stop us being one with the darkness. not all goths are haunted though. and not all goths have anything to do with satanism, witchcraft, wicca, demonology. but i was thinking. maybe it does have a lot to do with that.. i mean, all of it is leading away from God. ...? i dunno wtf i'm on about. that's what too much thinking and too much alchohol does to your mind. as i was sayin, goth isn't just a fashion. but it is a main part of it.. it's part of defineing how goths feel as individuals. how they dress reflects how they feel within. usually dead. it's NOT a cry for attention. it's NOT a phase. it's what separates the real gothics from the rest of the damned world. we are not shallow. our mutilated souls thrive on darkness.. our hearts cry blood because we can see a world beyhond those blinded by light. once you hear them calling, there's no going back to the mindless ways of todays corrupt world.. |
