Thanks for your interest in the Silent Otters Paddling Group.

If you desire to paddle with the Silent Otters then here are the rules:

# 1 We are dedicated to fun on and off the water are VERY relaxed and insist you have fun.

# 2 There are no other rules !

Well...seriously...( sort of ) , we number about 70 members of all ages from families with small children to folks in their 60's We have people of varying skill levels and as such try to arrange our outings so that there is something for everyone at some point . We paddle the rivers, lakes , gulf and ocean in the North Fl / South Ga area . Generally within 2 hours or so from Gainesville but upon occasion further .

We usually have monthly meetings on the beautiful Santa Fe river. These are always on the the Friday before the full moon of each month at the Hwy 27 boat ramp which is 2 miles out of High Springs as you head to Ft. White .

Our meeting time is 7:00ish pm with a great potluck with everything from ribs to veggie fare and an optional Moonlight paddle.

To cover costs for supplies and equipment we do request an annual donation of $15 for individuals and $20 for families which are renewed in January. This entitles you to receive the list of outings, trip reports and to participate in our Otter giveaway party at the beginning of each year. At that time we return excess treasury funds back to the people with a party and give away of things you can use the next time you are on the water.
