In my opinion, this new edition to the Halloween series lives up to the first two. First I will start with the mask. In my opinion, this is the best mask since the first one,(Even though I do have to admit that in certain scenes Mikey did have an afro-thing going.). This film really captured the feeling of the first two films. The fact that the cast was stuck in a small house was good, but having it be Michael's house was even better because noone knew when or where he was going to "pop" out. The opening scene is especially strong, with Jamie Lee Curtis jumping back into her role as Laurie Strode (and sporting a bad-ass look). I thought the scene when Michael and Laurie were face-to-mask (hahaha) was very emotional and a perfect way to end Michael's quest for his sister. Anyway. . .Michael was back to his old self at long last, killing left and right, doing what he does best. The use of the palm computer was a great way to add suspense to the chase scenes. Even though there were not that many "no names" and alot of already popular actors, I still feel that the film was strong. One last note, the final battle with Michael and Busta was great. Now if only they would replace Busta with Jason Vorhees. . . . .one can only dream, right? |
