Once upon a time land not so far away there lived a newbie. His name was Adam. Adam was the most newbie of newbs. He was a newb amongst other newbs. He was lucky, or perhaps it was fate, that he had a friend named Travis better know as Cheeze. Travis was smart enough to get into a good clan, one whose temporary leader was know only as Drftor. Cheeze was very good indeed. Cheeze realized his friend was such a newb and decided to do him a favor. For a whole day Cheeze begged Driftor to let Adam into his clan. At the end of the long and tiresome day Driftor finally agreed. Unfortunatly for Adam this clan had ranks. They were: in training, private, sargent, general, commander, and leader. Adam was terrible even though he tried so hard. Adam was given the rank of "in training" or "IT". He did not like being IT but he knew if he wanted to be good he need to go through this. It wasn't long before Driftor, Cheeze, and the rest of the clan soon forgot poor old newbster Adam. Adam played long and hard. The represented the clan well but nobody was there to see it. He would beat people. Then the people would say "what does "IT" stand for?" Adam would usually reply "in training". Then even though Adam had beat the other people they would laugh at him. Eventualy he got tired of being laughed at so he would lie and say, "IT stands for intellectual terminator", or something gay like that. About three weeks later Adam wanted a different character so, he changed his alias to have an I7 on the end of it. Coincidently that very day he changed his name, he got to play with the whole clan. Adam was the lowest ranking member in the clan so he was stuck on channel two all by himself. Adam did good that game. During the game a guy called Rapier switched over to his channel. Adam thought that he was finally going to get promoted. He was so happy. Rapier said to him "Hey, uhh, Driftor wants you to put the IT back on the end of your name. He doesn't want anyboy to think you are any higher rank." With this Rapier switched back over to the other channel and left Adam there all alone agian. Later in the same game Adam was still on the channel two, all alone. Driftor switched over to his channel. Adam knew that Driftor (being his repetative self) would only say, "Hey, Rapier told you to put the 'T' back on the end of you name didn't he?" Instead Driftor said, "Adam, you've got better. I'm gonna move you up to pirvate now. Change you name." Driftor then preceded to leave the channel. Adam was exstatic, he was overwhelmed. Finally, he had been promoted. Then he realized, private is a pretty crappy rank too. Thus, he was siad agian. Adam swore vengence that day and has done his best to live up to it. He played with Cheeze and Driftor incessantly. Even thoug he still lost and was sad, he was getting better. he just didn't know he was getting better. At long last he finally became a contender most games. he was quickly moved up to sargent and then general. He was the first to move up to commander when the new leaders were chosen. Adam has left his footsteps for other IT newbies to follow. No matter how high he goes in rank, or how good he gets, from now on people will always know him as he is in this story, and IT wanderer. |
