*Most dates are approximate only to my memory since no official records have been kept thus far.
January 17th 2003: New clan MRX (Maximum Rapage X) is founded. All members had to have their names have (MR) in front and an X in the back. The meaning of the X was supposed the have been kept secret and still is. The original three members were Driftor (SilentKillerPA), Romulus (HiddenAssialent), and Afreak (Afreak2002). We were founded as an AA off TDM clan for Unreal Championship. Our first member, Rapier (jako got hops), is recruited.
January 27th 2003: Driftor hosted a survival game, anyone that beat him was recruited. Three new members were recruited, Thorax (WastedHellfire), Shocker (?), and Blackwolf (Paintballer88) was accidentally recruited.
January 29th 2003: 1st clan match. The other clan, DOA, used auto-aim and didn�t tell us, also they left team damage and big head mode on. MR lost.
January 30th 2003: 1st MR website goes up. www.mrxclan.50g.com
February 1st 2003: Cheeze (RazorFire) is recruited.
February 3rd 2003: 2nd clan match, MR played DLC in a 2 vs. 3. Driftor and Cheeze barely lost to DLC.
Febuary 4th � 26th 2003: MR plays many more clan matches with DLC and wins all of them. We become almost like brother clans, especially since Driftor was supposed to be a leader of DLC but ended up being just another player. Brizeakz (BioCrash) and Draykaz (Nemmerle) are recruited.
February Date Unknown: Blackwolf recruits noobs and doesn�t tell anyone about them. Also he has many clan matches with D12 and looses every one. Blackwolf invents MR�s ranking system and gets Driftor to implement it. (The ranking system was later refined and another rank was added to it.) Blackwolf then recruits Master13 (MasterChief13). The new website (www.mrxclan.cjb.net) is put up.
February 27th 2003: D Bo17 (D Bo17) is a member of the longtime dead clan CIA. He is well known is always in a game filled with only the best players of the time. D Bo17 also knows Driftor very well. D Bo17 joins a game the Brizeakz is hosting. They form an instant friendship. D Bo17 joins MR and takes the rank of Commander.
All of March 2003: Cheeze becomes a great lock on whore. MR�s member list expands to about 25 members. D Bo17 pulls the clan up from the bottom feeders and up to the top with his connections. DLC is dwindling. MR plays many clan matches and wins most of them. Adam (Your Funeral) is recruited. Of all the original leaders only Driftor remains active online. With the consent of the entire clan (democratic election) Driftor makes Cheeze and D Bo17 leaders. Also Neo (Neo91) was recruited some time during this month. Blackwolf is voted out of the clan along with the little bitch Deathcythe (ChosenDevotee). WeaponX (StealRanger86 / Semperfi440) is recruited.
April 1st � 15th 2003: There is a possible merger between DLC and MR. Right before the deal is about to go down, Neo sends and e-mail to Driftor telling him his thoughts as well of that of the rest of the clan. Driftor calls off the merger and invites 4 members of DLC to join MR, all with high starting ranks. Neocron (Neocron), Drakon (Drakon), and Fatal (Fatal Instinct) all join MR with the rank of General. DLC Nemesis refuses and swears vengeance. Neo91 comments about Nemesis�s voice masking and asks him to take it off. Nemesis refuses, shuts down the server and is not seen again for several months.
April 16th � 30th 2003: Driftor takes a vacation for spring break. Returns to find the clan intact and just fine. MR wins many more clan matches. MR plays TDA (the #1 clan) and ties. We decide to finish the match on a later date. MR looses to D12 3 times. Turbo (Turbo Culosis) is recruited.
May 1st � 15th 2003: MR plays TDA in a 2 vs. 3 and looses (MR had the 2) 84 �100. MR plays K1 in a clan match and becomes friends with the clan. MR helps K1 become established. MR defeats UPSAAA (the 3rd or 4th best clan). MR looses to IOS (the #2 clan) and then beats them next time. Separatist factions begin to align. There is much dissention within the clan. Thorax is kicked out of the clan and becomes leader of K1.
May 15th � 31st 2003: Cheeze quits. Cheeze has offers to be in TDA, D12, and IOS, but chooses to join K1 and assume control of the clan. Thorax is kicked out of leadership to make room for Cheeze. Cheeze and Doofy (the leaders of K1) begin to steal MR members right and left. Some quit on their own. At one point Driftor quits MR and decides to shut it down. Strangely Doofy convinces Driftor to keep the clan going and
Driftor obliges. Only about 1/3 of MR�s 35 members remain. MR takes the advice of Adam and move to RTCW.
All of June 2003: MR begins to recruit for RCTW. Boris (CCCP) is recruited. We loose many clan matches this month. WeaponX is elected to be the new leader. Driftor leaves for a 1 month vacation.
All of July 2003: Driftor returns to find the clan together but barely hanging on to existence. Driftor helps recruit and rebuild for a while. Cheeze moves his new clan to RCTW and begins to steal MR members again. Boris quits MR and joins Cheeze�s clan to help steal our members. MR is failing. In a desperate panic Driftor tries to move the clan back to Unreal Championship. The RTCW MR falls apart. The guys in RTCW form AC and then WM (War Machines). In UC Driftor struggles to keep the clan going but it is torn down in 1 day by Enjoi who convinces everyone to quit, then quits himself. Driftor is alone. Driftor gives up. MR was dead at the beginning of August.
August 2003 Durning Death: Driftor joins AOL (the current #1 clan in UC) and plays with them for about 3 weeks. Neocron and Drakon form WM and invite all previous MR members to join. The clan is pretty much and MR counterpart.
Close to the end of August 2003 During Death: Driftor is dissatisfied with AOL and comes back to RCTW and joins WM. Things go well in WM for a long time.
October 1st � 15th 2003 During Death: Turbo parades around all the time wearing the MR tag while in WM. Driftor�s head is filled with ideas when seeing the MR tag again. Driftor and Turbo begin to play a lot of UC together. Driftor can�t stand it anymore. He decides to bring MR back.
October 16th 2003: Former MR members Turbo, Driftor, and Master13, revive MR and all become leaders.
October 17th � 31st 2003: MR is back and begins to recruit and win clan matches in UC again. MR and WM are brother clans much in the same way that MR and DLC were. MR wins many UC clan matches. Psycoblade, Adam, and Shlomoe are recruited.
November 1st � 28th 2003: CounterStrike (CS) is released. MR and WM merge to for MR (Morte�s Redemption). The clan moves to CS. The new leaders were Driftor, Master13, Drakon, Turbo, and Neocron. Drakon hasn�t been on for weeks. Driftor still lingers in UC.
December 1st � January 1st 2004:
The CS portion of MR is struggling to survive. Things are going pretty well in UC for Driftor and Master13. Lots of dissention happened in UC and we had to deal with a lot of jilted ex-members and their new clans. Driftor and Master13 struggle to rebuild and CS part of MR is still declining rapidly.
January 1st � March 1st 2004:
Driftor and Master successfully rebuild MR in UC but CS is almost non-existent. Fire, Toenail, and Falcon are recruited and aid us in winning many clan matches in UC. Lots of new games come out and the clan is divided amongst them. MR retires from UC after Relvib (a former member) successfully screws us over. Toenail and Falcon quit only to linger on in the long forgotten UC.
March 1st � April 1st 2004:
After and brief and unsuccessful excursion into U2, MR plays CS exclusively. The success was moderate but improving. Very few of the MR members actually played CS more than just occasionally. They were playing many non-clan-oriented games.
April 2nd - May 2004:
A RS3 squad is started and it failed miserably. Driftor, Toenail, and Wanabem, have successful clan matches in CS and in UC. We eventually all but retired from UC to play CS. The CS crew was finally getting going. Spyda was recruited, Boris called Driftors house, and Adam was still Jewish.
June 2004:
I was gone this month so I don't know for sure. All that I can tell really happened it that Toenail quit before he get kicked out.
August - September 2004:
The clan was stable for a while. Then Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow came out. After me not owning the game for 5 days, the entire clan split up. As best I can tell, WeaponX and Drakon had an all out brawl and then WeaponX quit only to join Turbo's new clan. Turbo created his new clan because, well, errrrr, I don't know why. Neocron made his own clan too. I was obstinate and kept my tag as |MR|. After a while most of the crew rejoined under me but we were struggling worse than ever. Neocron has a plan to reunite and expand our clan by reamaking it into DP.
September - November 2004:
We all united under DP for a while and didn't do shit. Nobody was on, there was no leadership, people came and went; we were a club, not a clan. Then, Halo 2 came out. Everybody played Halo 2 and was happy until we began to loose. We accidentally let a bunch of random noobs in our clan they played clan matches all day until our record (at least are far as Bungie.com is concerned) was ruined. So Darkfear and many other people quit. I used this as my oppertunity to remake |MR| (Max Rapage). I did and after a long process of litigation and some short arguements, we united the clan once again under the tag of |MR|. New leaders were elected; and, once again, the curse of leadership struck and they were all gone is just a few days. This left me being the only leader again. We elected a few more and I think these guys are going to stay. I now realized that The Old Crew is gone and they aren't coming back. In order to survive we must place our trust in the new members.
December 2004:
No major drama this month! How the fuck did that happen?
Spring 2005:
A lot of shit happened. We kept getting worse and worse at Halo 2 and having less and less members. There weren't any notable rebellions, or any kind of drama. Things just kept winding down slower and slower and slower. I was afriad that we might end with a whimper instead of bang. Unreal Championship 2 came out and I discoverd that game did not have a significant clan base.
Summer 2005: I got back from vacation to find things slower than ever before. I'm doing my best to get us back in action again.
