Mike walked out the old logging road to the trail leading down to where he was hoping to find a willing gobbler . About half way down that trail he heard and saw turkeys feeding in the hardwoods. Not haveing time to get anywhere else, he set up on the side of the trail. The turkeys were going down the mountain but when he made a couple of yelps they came toward him. At about 15 yards from him the first turkey looked over the bank and started to putt, Knowing that this was a sign that they probably wouldn't be hanging around much longer, Mike pulled the trigger and let him have all of the # 6s out of that 3 1/2 shell. It layed still for a minute then started flopping for 10 yards. First turkey down 12Lbs, 4 1/4beard, 1/2 & 1/4 spurs.
