Violet Eyes
Chapter 3
By Silent Stalker

DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, the lovely boys of Weiss Kreuz and Gundam Wing don't belong to me. I wish I did own them. But I do own a copy of the game 'The Sims' and I downloaded lovely WK and GW skins. They all live together happily in my little wannabe world. And I made Schu and Farf fall in love! But anyway, like I said, I'm not their real owner.

WARNINGS: OOCness, for a reason. Foul language (I think) and generally stuff like that. This is the one that everyones been waiting for (Yes, the oh so many handful of people that actually read this fic.) This is the part that makes it an actual crossover. It wont have any G-boys, save Duo, in it, but Ill make up for that in the next chapter! Enjoy!
Kudos to those who caught my omissions on the pairing list and put 2 and 2 together to get 5!! Also, I killed Aya-chan off for a reason. I just dont like dealing with her, considering I havent seen the end of WK. I just sorta made up my own!! I hope I cleared up a few things up in this chapter!

AUTHOR'S NOTES: This takes place in an odd part of the continuity of both shows. In Gundam Wing, it's been 2 years since Mariemaya's uprising. In Weiss Kreuz, it's been about 3 years since the end of the series with the whole immortality crap with Schwartz and Aya-chan and all. Bear in mind that I haven't seen the end of the series yet (my friend is loaning me her VCD's) so I'm taking mondo liberties with WK. My own version of the end of the series will come out in this story, but don't flame me for screwing with it, k?

Omi hummed happily as he dusted around the TV in the living room of the apartment. It was Sunday, so the shop was closed, and he was spending the rainy summer day cleaning the place. The dust was finally getting to him. Stooping, he opened a rarely used cupboard of the entertainment stand which the TV sat on and dusted the inside.

He stopped as his feather duster encountered a large photo album, one that he didnt recognize. The duster was placed on the shelf, as he pulled out the album and plopped on the floor. Turning to the back first, as those would be the most recent photos, Omi began to puruse the unique memories the book contained. The last ten pages or so contained pictures of Aya and Ken, or of all of Ex-Weiss, when it was still Weiss. The last pages contained pictures of the 7, including the other assassins as well. Omi wondered who had taken the pictures.

As he wandered backwards, he watched as time seemed to turn back, and the pictures revealed a younger Aya, playing with his little sister, or working with a smile on his face. Some were of just Aya-chan, and some with Aya, Aya-chan, and a boy who had the same shade of vibrant purple eyes Aya did.

He was a short, scruffy looking boy, only appearing in a few of the pictures. It was obvious he was close to the other two, merely by their protective stances. He also appeared to be the youngest of the three. One picture, one of them posing together, tempted Omis curiousity, and he pulled it out, flipping it over.

Ran, Aya and Koujiro. 1994. It was written in the concise scrawl that Omi recognized as Ayas. Sliding the picture back to its spot, Omi stood, and took the picture album into the kitchen, where he knew Aya and Ken were cleaning.

This yours Aya? He asked, setting it open on the table. Aya turned, and his eyes widened fractionally.

Yes. Where was it? He answered, drying his hands off on a dishtowel. He walked over to where Omi stood, Ken following behind.

In the TV stand, under the TV, Omi answered. He pointed at the brunette boy. Whos that?

Aya visibly swallowed and took a moment to compose himself. My younger brother. He ignored the shocked looks from Omi and Ken and went on. I havent seen him since right after that picture was taken. My mother loved cameras.

Ken softly touched the picture. How old was he? he asked.

Eleven.

You havent seen your brother since he was 11?! Omi exclaimed. But that was taken 7 years ago! The date on the picture said 1994!

Aya reached out and closed the album. I know, he replied. Believe me, I know. Not a day goes by that I dont think about him or Aya-chan. But that part of my life is closed now. I dont want to dwell on it anymore then I do. Would you put this back where you found it, please?

The following Saturday found Aya, Ken and Youji working, with Omi out of school for the day, pestering them in the shop. Schuldig, Nagi and Farfarello had closed Blood & Holy Tears for the day, and were pestering the 3 as well. They had closed the shop at 12:30 for a half hours lunch break and now stood, ignoring the crowd of girls outside the locked door, also on their lunch breaks. Hey, it was their store now, and they could close it anytime they damn well pleased! As intent on ignoring it as they were, they never noticed the commotion that the lone boy made in the crowd.

Duo walked briskly down the street. It had taken him 3 more days since finding Aya-chans grave to track down the last of his family. Here. In this flower shop, swarmed by girls. He pushed through the crowd and glanced in the window. There, there was his brother, broom in hand. A note on the door said Be back at 1 and a glance at his watch showed 12:50. Duo couldnt wait ten minutes, especially with all these girls, and used the crush of bodies to push him closer to the door. Once he was close enough, he slipped out a lockpick, deftly picked the lock, opened the door and slipped inside the cooler shop. The girls outside began protesting immediately, especially as he relocked the door behind him, and turned back around to face the men inside.

The guys looked up as they heard the door being unlocked, and watched the boy slip inside. He turned back, and Schuldig and Nagi gasped, as they recognized him. So did one other person.

Duo-kun! Nagi said. What are you doing here?

Duo ignored them, his eyes only on Ran Fujimiya, his older brother. Aya was so startled, as the shock of recognition shot through him, despite the number of years since he had seen the boy, that he actually dropped his broom. It clattered to the floor noisily, not that he or anyone else noticed. For the Fujimiya brothers, their world had narrowed to one another. To the other guys, it was staring between the two, from one to the other.

Koujiro? Aya said softly. Is that really you?

Duo smiled. Not his Im death, get outta the way grin or I know something you dont know smirk. A real, happy-to-be-here smile. In the flesh, Ran. In the flesh.

Ran/Aya Fujimiya smiled back. [1]

Duo sipped on the iced mint mocha before him, before answering his Nii-chans question. Here and there and everywhere. What about you? What have you been doing since then?

At the shop, they had stared at one another until Ran had crossed the floor and enveloped him in a rib-crushing hug. There had been tears, of course, and soft touches to prove to themselves that what they saw before them was real. Duo hadnt been able to get out a coherent word since he had touched his older brother, and Ran noticed this. He had looked around, told the others hed be back later that night, and dragged Duo out the backdoor with him. They ended up at a small coffee bar, not to far away, and had sat down to talk.

Ive been . . . busy. With stuff Id like to forget.

What happened to Aya? When I left, she was dead set on becoming a doctor, even though she wasnt even in junior high yet. Now shes just. . . well, dead.

Yeah, we had some trouble with the group that took you away. She ended up in a coma for a couple of years, but died not long after awaking. The doctors said that after being asleep for so long, her system couldnt handle the overload and shut down. The group behind it is still alive, just not active anymore.

Estet, Ran. You can say their name, you know.

Tears pooled in Rans eyes, as he peered at Duo from under red bangs. He reached out and touched Duos cheek. I know, Kouji. But I couldnt bear to even hear the name. They took both of you, and okaasan, and otousan from me. It was hard to bear, you know?

Duo leaned into the touch. I know. Ghodz alive, I know. And its Duo now.

Duo? Why that name?

A couple of reasons mainly. First and foremost though, because when I began calling myself that, I was beginning my second life. Where I was, Koujiro Fujimiya was dead.

Youre gonna evade my questions, arent you. Ran stated, more then asked Duo. He retracted his hand and picked up his cinnamon-honey latte.

Im not lying. Duo replied defensively.

I know youre not. You never did, and I have a feeling you never will. Just before you left, you had that odd saying.

I run, I hide, I never lie.

Yeah, that. So Ill quit pestering you about the past and ask about the present and future. He ignored the odd snicker Duo gave at the word future, and squelched the urge to question it. What are you doing now?

Well, you know Nagi and Schu, right? At Rans nod, he plowed ahead. About a week ago, I appeared practically in their front yard. They gave me a ride to Tokyo and since then Ive devoted my time to finding you. Im not so sure what Ill do now.

You got a place to stay?

Ive got a temporary place on 31st street [2].

Ran sighed, and knew the others would ask what he was smoking later, but he couldnt help his next actions. Well, Weve got an extra room at the apartment since Youji started living with Schuldig. Why dont you come and stay there, at least for now? You can get back on your feet, find a good school or something, maybe work at Hearts in the meantime.

Duo smirked. You just want to keep an eye on me, make sure I dont disappear again.

Damn straight.

You never did say what exactly you did before starting that flower shop of yours. I have a feeling its something dark and dangerous, if you tangled with an Estet group. And if you took care of the man who hurt Aya. I know we all have our skeletons, Ran, and Ill tell you a bit about what I did, if you tell me what you did.

Fine. I was. . . Well, I was an assassin. I worked for a group called Kritker, more specifically, a man named Persia.

Duo raised his eyebrow at the name. Persia? A code name I take it? What was yours?

Abyssinian.

Ahh. Well, an eye for an eye. Where I was, I was a soldier. A vigilante of sorts. As absurd as this is gonna sound, I attempted to free some oppressed people and got burned for my efforts. Maybe one day when it doesnt hurt to talk about, Ill tell you the entire story.

Ran smiled, and was thrilled when Duo smiled back. That means you have to stick around to tell me.

You want him to what?

I want him to move in here. He can have Youjis old room, since youre living with Schuldig, Nagi and Farfarello now, Youji.

Ken sighed. So some guy comes waltzing in here, claims to be your little brother, plays on emotions for someone you thought was dead, and you wanna give him a room? What happened to the Aya Fujimiya that we knew? The one who didnt trust anyone, even after extensive polygraph tests, and background checks and references??

I. . . why are you doing this, Ken? Youre the only one really protesting it. Youji and Omi are fine with it! Ran sat down on the stool in the kitchen and put his face in his hands, resting his elbows on the counter. Duo was downstairs harassing Nagi, Schuldig, and Farfarello in the closed flower shop, while the other 4 held a small meeting in the kitchen.

Ken sighed. I just dont want you to be hurt again, Aya. Careful not to trip over his own feet, he made his way over to his lover, and put his hands on the redheads shoulders. If he turns out to be not what he says he is, youll be crushed all over again. And you dont deserve that.

He just is, Ken. I can feel it, inside. He is Koujiro, and hes returned to me after so long, and I dont want to lose him again. If him staying here doesnt work out, he can leave. He already said he wasnt willing to jeopardize my relationship with you, or anyone else.

Fine, Ken replied. He can stay for at least a trial period. But I dont trust him yet. What is he going to be doing in the mean time?

Hes gonna be going to a school he recently enrolled in. The one Omi and Nagi attend. The tests are next week. And I figured he could help out at the flower shop, when Youji and Omi cant be there and we want the day off.

Omi looked over at Youji from where they were standing by the fridge. Why do I get the feeling that after our initial Sure, Fine, that, to the two of them, were no longer here?

Probably because we arent, Omitchi. Cmon, Lets get out of here. Before they start making out on the table. Lets go get the others and the boy and bring them up here.

End Notes: From this point on, I'm gonna call Aya 'Ran' cuz that's his name, and that's what Duo gonna call him. Others, like Ken, are gonna call him Aya still though.
I honestly didn't mean for Ken to distrust Duo so much. These guys have a mind of their own in this story. Sorry if this upsets you.
