VirginBlood was first formed in the summer of 2001, However it took a while for the infamous band to hold its currentline-up.
In the winter of 1998 drummer, Jess, and Bassest, dick, formed a band called "Noose" with a few friends, adam and mike. The band played a few shows before Jess, Dick, and adam decided they wanted death metal. So in the early spring of 2000 they formed a band called"Desicrated". Forming a steady line up became a huge problem for the band, resulting in members coming and going, but at that time for the very first time Dick and Jess werent playing together. Jay, the current singer for VirginBlood, at one time took interest in the bass and took Dicks place in the band. Resulting in no singer for Desicrated, Jay placed the mic to his mouth and with a blistering vocal torture, Jess knew at that time he had found what he had been looking for. However Desicrated wasnt the sound, wasnt the image, was just not strong enough. Jess and Jay then left the band hoping to form an intense slaughter of what we call music. At this time Jay had droped the Bass guitar all together and they were left to find a Guitarest, and not just any guy who could paly a few songs and make him self look like he can play, but someone who could fucking kill it. Jay knew of an old buddy named Phil, Jess however wants up for playing with someone that he didnt already know, however the second Phil maxed out his Marshall and started to ripp Fear Factory songs out of his ass like he was in the fucking band his mind changed instantly. With No name and and no bassest they were yet still incomplete. During the time of Dick being on his own he had formed a few other bands with old buddies, but something had to have been missing because when Jess came up to Dick with the invetation to playing in this "NEW" band Dick thought of that as not to bad of an idea.
With the new line-up, new sound, new image came VirginBlood. To us it seems more of a death sentance to be in this band because our music, from our prespective, is the ultimate death row. |
