Sienna Plantation is a masterplanned community in the Houston suburb of Missouri City. Originally part of Stephen F. Austin's "Old Three Hundred" colony settlement, the land was first settled by Captain William Hall and Captain David Fitzgerald, who, in 1824, located their farms on the bank of the Brazos River. Ownership changed hands over the years and the name became Sienna Plantation, a name that reflects the rich alluvial soil of the area that is the color of sienna, the color of a great sunset. Sienna Plantation has many attractions, including Club Sienna, with the largest private water park in the south, and Camp Sienna, which provides recreational opportunities and a trail to a scenic overlook of the Brazos River, where this box is located.

Directions:

From Hwy 59, exit Hwy 6 and go south for approximately 6 miles to Sienna Parkway. Turn right and go about 3 miles to Scanlan Trace. Turn right and go about 1 mile to Camp Sienna Trail. Turn right and go another mile to Camp Sienna. Go left at the round-about and park at the far south end of the gravel lot near the playground.

Clues:

Walk south on the gravel path toward the playground. At the fork with a sign saying Brazos River Overlook, go right for about 100 yards to a T junction with a trail sign. Go right for about 60 steps, then go left on a wide grassy path for about 40 steps. Turn left and walk 9 steps to a small tree behind a medium tree. The camo microbox is hanging on the back side about 1 foot off the ground. Please rehide as described. After stamping in, continue on gravel trail another 100 yards to the overlook.

NOTE: Always take adequate precautions (such as prodding with a stick and/or wearing gloves) before reaching into dark crevasses and holes in the wild. Before you set out read the waiver of responsibility and disclaimer.
