Green Eggs And Ham was first published in 1960, and has been delighting readers ever since. Sam I am is as persistent as a telemarketer, changing as many variables as possible in the hopes of convincing the nameless skeptic that green eggs and ham are a delicacy to be savored. I won't be quite as annoying trying to get you to find this minibox, but I'm sure you will like it if you will just try it. It can be found in the Stephen F. Austin Experimental Forest on the Jack Creek Loop Trail. The Interpretive Trail is located 8 miles southwest of Nacogdoches, and offers quiet refuge to all who seek the natural enchantment of a forest experience. Birding is especially good, especially during Spring migration. With Sam as your lure, you will like it I am sure!

Directions:

From Nacogdoches proceed 6.5 miles west from Loop 224 on Hwy 7 to FM 2782. Turn left (south) and go about 2.4 miles to the entrance of SFA Experimental Forest on the right. Follow the signs to the trail parking area. Or, from Lufkin heading north on Hwy 59, turn left (west) at BJ's Produce Stand onto FM 2782 and go about 2.5 miles to the entrance on the left.

Clues:

Go to the trailhead for the Jack Creek Loop and get a brochure with map. Go right and walk the trail counter-clockwise for about .2 mile until you come to 2 benches facing each other with a wood "J" marker on the ground near them. From the middle of the benches turn around and walk back up the trail the way you came for 15 steps. Look left for a pine tree about 15 steps off the trail and go to it. The camo minibox is behind the base of this tree under sticks and pine needles. Please re-cover well and continue hiking around the loop.

NOTE: Always take adequate precautions (such as prodding with a stick and/or wearing gloves) before reaching into dark crevasses and holes in the wild. Before you set out read the waiver of responsibility and disclaimer.
