Roger Clemens is one of the great pitchers of all-time, notching over 300 wins and 4000 strikeouts and winning an unprecedented seven Cy Young Awards for four different teams. Though born in Ohio, he moved to Texas while in High School and went on to play at University Of Texas. He made his professional debut with the Boston Red Sox in 1984, and went on to play for Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees. He planned to retire following the 2003 season, but when the Houston Astros wanted to sign him, he jumped at the chance to play close to home. He went on to win his first National League Cy Young Award with the Astros in 2004 and on May 9, 2005, Clemens became the winningest living pitcher when he passed Steve Carlton on the all time wins list. That same year he also helped the Astros into their first World Series. This camo microbox is dedicated to Clemens, otherwise known as "The Rocket", and can be found at the Kenneth D. Welch Outdoor Learning Center. You can enjoy nature here while paying homage to a baseball great who lived in Katy at one time.
NOTE: Always take adequate precautions (such as prodding with a stick and/or wearing gloves) before reaching into dark crevasses and holes in the wild. Before you set out read the waiver of responsibility and disclaimer.
