Sea Center Texas is a state-of-the-art marine fish hatchery and aquarium located on 75 acres in Lake Jackson, Texas. The focus of Sea Center is the marine life of Texas bays and Gulf waters, which are depicted in a unique series of habitats and aquaria. The centerpiece is a 50,000-gallon aquarium containing several varieties of shark, large red drum, gray snapper and a large Queensland grouper named Gordon. At nearly 300 pounds, Gordon clearly dominates all and is the undisputed underwater celebrity. On the grounds beside the Visitor Center are over 5 acres of coastal marshes that visitors can access via an elevated boardwalk. There is also an open-air pavilion surrounded by a butterfly and hummingbird garden that provides an excellent place to relax or eat lunch during a visit. And all this is free! So bring the family and enjoy the center while looking for this microbox. If you got my original box before it went missing, come again since this is a new box in a new location.
