Heed
I have seen the hate of men and all seems to be vile
The evidence of how and why our lies and fears compile
When small intervals of thoughts soon become theory
Are we really the ones that are thinking clearly?
Always an exception to the rules and update to the fact
But nothing ever seems to have the very same impact
How can we contain this hope that scientists cannot conceal
How can we forget those in need that we need to appeal
Our knowledge of an option that few know of or were given
That we can learn about and seek God and become forgiven
What else have we in our materialistic view but a diversion
Lives then deteriorate through corruption of perversion
I am not only speaking of males, I am speaking of females too
We are all sinful in nature for it is what we all do
Yet we have been sinful in nature since time began
But what is time, is it just something made by man?
I know it sounds wrong to question the things I know
But if it is not of the Lord, then how far will it go?
In immediacy, in a second, so many things can be explained
And as we perceive of these, more wisdom is obtained
But some things seem so distant from any man's view
Have we gained in information or what will presently make due?
Finding answers to miracles and answers to any question
Can drive anyone who is not careful into an obsession
So, this constant seeking is not only of a physical note?
Or an additional emotional and conditional way we promote?
I am still deep within my thoughts, cutting so far to bleed
Do I ask a simple task, or do I say, "Listen, and Heed."
Do not seek what is material because it will soon expire
Maybe endless for you to add and consume and for more you aspire
But of this I know, I've lost most of my selfish desire
For once you have it all, then, you will find it to tire
Materialistic minds are never satisfied they say
But once you get it all, then you know it will not stay
It does not last, and it will never be able to complete you
It is only a want and the want of it will not meet you
So I infer of this being in my view a selfishness to such
But I remind you, you don't have to concur with me this much
Selfishness of the physical things is not the only threat
But a need for the knowledge of God being spoken of needs met
Seeking wisdom in finding God and not without him or within
For God is unlike the material world that chases the wind
