True Love
God is truly Awesome in more ways than one
I am thankful for the numerous things he has done
He has changed those who felt the worst of pain
And he is reliable to listen to them again
He is my comfort and is the warmth to my fire
The One who loves me and is the want of my desire
He was there when times were at their very worst
But I know He is who I should call upon first
For his love is the only love that is true
For only his love is perfect that will forever subdue
For his love will always be and will always remain
For he is the only One who is worthy to reign
We are sinners that can and have been forgiven
And I thank God for helping me in this world I live in
For without him, I would be much worse than lost
Never would I go to heaven if he had not paid the cost
For I know this is true, since I know that God is there
He would not give us more than we could ever bear

Hidden Truths
We walk in our lives in such concealment
Yet, we forget, what is our fulfillment
In everyday routines and simple tasks
We live our lives under masks
We attempt to cover our imperfection
But we can not blur this misdirection
God sees through this like clear glass
He knows our faults and forgives our past
For we can not save ourselves and change our fate
Only God can do this, and he can relate
For only his Son lived without sin
He was not of the world but he lived within
But for us, it was a sacrifice that had to be done
For his account is the greatest amount for anyone
