Rise Again
Lord, thank you, for I believe I've lost my sight
Blinded by this worldly light, you guided me through the night
You saw me here when I was in pain
Helped me in ways I can not explain
Every step that I did take, the Lord was with me
A move we both did make, and showed me how to see
Now I was able to view the obstacles that were
God was there to move me aside when they did occur
He was there when I cried the night away
Yet his light shone on me that whole day
He showed me not only that I really could help
But he helped me see that he was inside myself
He taught me to walk right along his path
Showed me the Earth's much better half
I saw the sky and the sky seemed to look right back
Yet I saw more clearly in myself of what I did lack
God has surrounded me with his creation
Showed me the beauty of the nature, not of the nation
There is more to life than you can ever really see
More in yourself and more life that is around me
There is more to us, than that which we have to do
God is there and he'll see your life through
Open your eyes and make yourself see what is true
For once believe that God is working inside of you
The evidence of him can be seen in yourself and each other
So please understand, faith makes a Godly man, your brother
God is there and he knows we've been living in sin
But he's sacrificed his son's life so that we may live again
Let it be known that you are not alone in this world
His plan still is yet to be unfurled, and opened to you
There is more to life than what our eyes can envision
He teaches not only to read his word but to listen
And listen that we should because he speaks very clear
It just depends how open you are and close you are to hear
How close you are to him and open for him to have his say
Because he speaks to each individual in a different way
So be thankful, my friend, that there is a loving God
His loving stretching all around you and even abroad
Let him touch your life and let him hold you very close
He will take care of you if you remain true for the most
Because there will be times that you may fall and be hurt
But God is still there, to wash and clean off the dirt
Like a loving father, a best friend, and the truest love
The same God you should consider your life with up above
But a man without God in his life is just another empty shell
Like a ship, without anyone steering it, even without a gale
Be not like this empty vessel but be filled with purpose
And surely God's love will be there and always surface
And some have succumbed to the belief that life is dutiful
That that can not see in reality that life is beautiful
But even still there is more to fulfill than a single step
Remember there is more to life such as that of living yet
It is alright to find purpose and to work for a living too
Please do not forget that there are other people around you
Other people willing to reach that fulfilling life the same
Those that are struggling and left alone not hearing his name
Bring to them a gift that will bring them more than just hope
And He will bring them comfort, love, and the ability to cope
So let others know what you have and help them learn about him
When the moment comes, so let it be done, he'll rise again
And so do you, with him too, be taken away from this place
And with his love, almighty God above, be in heaven's space
But never stop learning yourself because his love has no limit
And I am thankful to know that I am his child in every minute
So know him more than the day before and know his words plain
So please believe it's true he'll receive you with love fain
