As You Pass Away

I see in your smile there is a frown
I see in your eyes you are falling down
I see into your words, I see the pain
I see as your movements show hate is plain
I watch your breathing, I feel your rush
I see into your mind, I feel your touch
I see into your soul, you are losing balance
I know in your heart you have lost your talents
I see your lips as depression lay
I see in your ears I have nothing to say
I watch your hands as they show displeasure
I see the burden on your feet with heavy measure
I watch as you lay yourself down
I see the fear in your eyes and I hear no sound
I feel your thoughts, I found the shame
I see that you think you disgraced your name
I watch as you close your eyes
I feel the suffering from your attempts and tries
I watch as your face shows a smile
It lifts up my hopes for a little while
I watch as your breathing becomes more slow
That is when my hand finally lets go
I know my eyes are beginning to tear
I watch as you leave from here
In one last fight, I hold you close
When you are gone, what will you miss most
I watch as your final movement shows that it is...
You touched my hand like this
I feel your muscles begin to relax
These will be our very final acts
Your body becomes inert
I now know you are away from hurt
I can't hold the tears back anymore
I feel them fall and as well as pour
The doctors come in to take you away
If I could have that moment again, what would I say
I left in hate, silence, and sadness
You were there at my last moments of gladness
It will be hard to let this leave my mind
Because there will never be another time
I open the drawer that held a gun
If you are gone, so it will be done
I felt an angel or maybe it was you that day
I felt the touch, push my hand away
It made me feel, not alone
You were with me, I was not on my own
You were in me through this time of strife
And, you were there for the rest of my life
