SHADOW OPERATIONS UNIT

Marine s Ready For Action

Sometimes, it is necessary to carry out missions that are so important they may need to be kept secret, or are perhaps too politically sensitive to be performed in the public eye.  This is where "Shadow Ops" comes in.  Our Shadow Operations Unit is made up of crew members seconded from various departments of the ship, whenever necessary.  It is not a standard department, and only comes into being when deployed by the chief intelligence officer, and then only with the captains permission.  The seconded crew members are mainly non-senior staff members, and are usually the Asst. Chief of Department.
